    Nobody is questioning that he got more for fighting Canelo than he would fighting guys his level, that is pretty obvious.

    I was saying he didn't earn 'retirement' money against Canelo.

    If you are saying he got between £1m/£2m for that fight , you are way off.

    Sure it was more than that, but after tax and expenses it might be in that ballpark.

    Thing is, retirement money (to me at least) is filling up your pension or buying your house so you can give up boxing. Not retire altogether - that'd be a waste of a young man :)

    Always amazed me Andries made it as far as he did, to world champion, before Steward took him under his wing post-Hearns. Then he became a serious fighter, and the Harding trilogy is up there with the best of them.
