Yeah and terms of lack of quality, lol. If we take Vitali's career and put it into theoretical, he wins the title, defends it once, has a 4 year break cause he keeps breaking down and then comes back. Nowehere close to Holmes.

 

The quality of his second reign opponents was about the same as what Holmes was fighting on average.

Obv the timeline is something like he wins the title in 99, doesn’t have a random shoulder injury, and steps away around 2005 (minus 20 years).

That shouldn’t offend you.

 

Quality of his second reign was on average a quality of Holmes reign post-Witherspoon.

His injuries weren't random, his nature was he was fragile and injury prone.

It doesn't offend me, why would you think that.

 

Holmes reign post Witherspoon was Williams, Bey and Spinks. Par for the course if not better than most of Holmes’ reign.

A rotator cuff injury and a cut from getting punched by Lennox Lewis’s gloves and laces doesn’t indicate fragility. On the other hand, Holmes needed the benefit of the doubt from refs and judges at various points in his reign to continue.

 

4 year break because of injuries and breaking down every other training camp is a huge indicator of fragility.
