it was an easy fight for Hector. I bet he coud've taken both Howie and Leonard on the same day. Leonard was active then, wasnt he?

It wasn't a hard fight but you see what happened a year later when Davis got into the ring with a truly top boxer- he got iced with one punch.
Camacho was never the same after the Rosario bout it is as simple as that. Rosario socked him and Camacho never stopped running.
A Camacho who would have met a prime Leonard at welterweight would have gotten massacred and very easily.
I mean look at his career post Rosario. Go on a tour beat up some lesser fighters secure a big fight with a top boxer- then literally get dominated then immediately go back build up the record land another big fight then get dominated again.
And great he went the distance but that isn't exactly hard to do when your entire intent is to go the distance and not try to even win.
Am I wrong ? Tell me in the Oscar and Tito fights were he attempted to win.
And I actually met Camacho in person and he was very likable as opposed to Leonard who was a jerk to the highest degree but Leonard was a much greater boxer and that cannot be disputed even if I couldn't stand Leonard personally.

Then he should have stopped Davis who didn't have the best of chins but he didn't he was content to not push the issue because he was scared of getting hit and it showed. You had one who couldn't pull the trigger and one that wouldn't which led to a disappointing bout from both.

Camacho beat Rosario. dont you know history?

History shows that Hector in fact, destroyed Leonard and nothing you say, no fantasy of yours, will ever change that

Howard did just fine until the moment he stepped in with Hector.

A razor this loss to Rosario, 1984

A draw with upcoming Meldrick Taylor just the year before, 1986

but no match for hector who, was the best 130, 135, and 140 pounder in the world

It shows how far above the rest of the divisions Hector was. is it any wonder, that no Camacho Chavez fight came off during Hector's prime???

One could say that the slower hector ran, the slower Chavez chased him

I can understand the feelings of resentment you have against him since he was the only man who ever knocked out Leonard

    Why do you say that?

Didnt he take Rosario th distance? Neither do I recall Jim Watt stopping him in 15

Who stopped him prior to meeting Camacho?

you're thinking emotionally, not logically. If hector were running scared, how is it he scored all the body punching throughout the fight???
    Thump. thump. thump. thump. thump.

Ha ha, you didnt even SEE the fight and this proves it!

Was Chavez also a fighter you'd describe as fighting scared?

I certainly don’t believe in TDS but I may well start believing in LDS even if the diagnosis is confined to just the one individual.

Jim Watt was never a puncher genius. Jesus you have almost 0 knowledge . Rosario DROPPED Davis multiple times to win in a great performance from Davis but his chin let him down in the end.
Davis was dropped very early in his career by Norman Goins or did you forget that ? Baltazar did it. Manley did it.Rosario did it.Buddy did it.
Freaking Vilomar Fernandez even managed to do it. Davila did it.
It was very apparent early on that Davis's chin was going to be a problem considering in his first TWO years he had already been dropped multiple times by lesser boxers.
Know who never hurt Davis ? CAMACHO and it was a pretty boring fight.

I have LDS (Latter day saints) because I won a fair debate? If you gave better responses, you wouldnt be in this mess

And likewise, Cobra uses the argument of how Leonard would destroy Camacho is the two were in their primes

How do you prove what never transpired? Why would that be used for an argument if it never happened???

ONLY that which did happen can be used as a barometer.

One cannot say that ONLY Leonard was used up. Leonard was used up but camacho wasnt? This fight took place ten years after the master class boxing exhibition over Howard Davis that left us gasping in awe.

three losses later we got this

I know its sad but its the only barometer we have to settle the question: Which of the two boxers was actually superior?

and now we have our answer. camacho overcame all the physical advantages that Leonard had, used his dirty tactics he used on the streets of harlem and to great effect on Leonard. Do you not appreciate aggressive boxing the way Camacho exhibited?

Cobra 33 says Hector fights like a scardy cat

And Buddy takes him out with ONE PUNCH but Camacho is the "best". Of course you left out the Manley bout where Davis lost a decision after getting bounced off the canvas multiple times. But Davis was doing "fine" lol.

Joe Frazier was dropped twice by Oscar Bonavena in their fight. Does Joe Frazier have a glass jaw because of it?

Baltazar was known to pack a wallop. did Howard fail to survive?

How about all the times Ray Leonard was dropped? That must mean he also had a glass jaw

What about Ali? He was dropped 4 times also

See why your argument is doomed to fail?

why do you use such poor arguments when you know they're going to fail?

Only your pride is holding you up

You are clearly off the mark. In fact, you are way off. I just consulted AI and here is the actual truth

"which fighters were known to drop the lightweight Howard Davis jr as a professional?"

    The short, direct answer:

As a professional, Howard Davis Jr. was officially dropped by:

    • Edwin Rosario — knocked Davis down in rounds 2 and 12 during their 1984 WBC lightweight title fight.

    • Tony Baltazar — dropped Davis in rounds 5 and 8 in their 1983 bout.

    • Joe Manley — dropped Davis in rounds 1 and 5 in their 1986 fight.
Cobra, why would you lie to me?

Don't get upset. Actually learn the game instead of going to boxrec and looking at records.
Davis genius was dropped around 12 times see how that doesn't work out ?
Leonard was knocked down ZERO times in his prime SEVEN in total.
Davis was getting dropped 2 years into his career.
