This is not a fight, it's a farcical show and will most likely end in the 1st round

McCall wants that win after his 60th birthday. He's probably going to get it.

Holy ****. I honestly thought this was a very old thread getting bumped.

It does have a bit of an freak show attraction though. As mentioned in the previous page, have Rahman vs Briggs on the undercard and then winners square off which would probably be Ike vs Shannon the Cannon.

This is very sad. We have seen fighters like Tyson and Holyfield fight at these ages and we know they are completely sad shells of their former selves. Why in the world anyone would want to see two men like that fighting each other is beyond me, and I truly hope this fight doesn’t come off.

Not in New York, but according to New York time. I think it will be somewhere in Africa.

Current admin may be pretty lenient for sports visas? Fury had a lifetime ban and is back.

Boxing is so dead these days that this is as good as it gets. It has become a nostalgia sport, folk pining for the 'golden age' of boxing, its just a niche sport now.

It is still a better fight than a lot of the crap they are throwing at the public. Still, not a great fight, and I feel for the fighters if this is what they need to resort to.

Yeah, I was just going to say, the header for this thread is a bit misleading. Other than the reference to "New York time" in the social post, there's no further reference there nor in the article it links to re anything about a NY venue. If it somehow were to wind up being in NY, I'm going to guess that the promoters are waiting for the PPV $$ to come in and, if they meet their goal, they'll simply rent out a gym somewhere and aim a camera at the ring, with maybe a handful of seats sprinkled around it.

No way they raise that much money for this. Who would buy it?

    "New York Time" LMAO.
Ike isn't getting back to the US, and there is no way New York of all places would ever sanction such a fight. New York basically killed small boxing shows after what happened to Magomed Abdusalamov, because they got that scared of another similar incident.
