Could Max have Berbick on jelly legs ?
Baer obviously has the hugh power advantage , but Berbick was tough , awkward and could make things rough on the inside.

    15rounds
    Thoughts?

Yes, he could. But, I wouldn't necessarily bet on it. Quite frankly, I don't think a whole lot separates these two fighters. Both are big, strong, tough, and a bit limited.

I think Max can elicit a chicken dance from Trevor. Big enough, hits hard enough, Berbick was an awkward big lump but beatable if a fighter had good enough basics or big enough power and Baer has both.

Berbick owns him in every facet of the game. Lopsided decision at best for Max. More likely a ref stoppage as it would be entirely uncompetitive with Max taking too much damage.

I wouldn't say that it's my high opinion of Berbick at work here.

Well then you're definitely wrong. I know you like to go against the grain.

    Baer > Berbick

My plain answer is yes. Max Baer had the kind of power that could crack the chin of many durable heavyweights. Not saying whether or not I’d favor him to beat Berbick.

You put the version of Baer we have on film in the ring with the version of David Bey we have on film and I'm betting on Bey every time out. And I will walk away the winner. After close to 50 years of watching and formerly participating in the sport you can do nothing to convince me otherwise.

I see Baer as a bigger, harder hitting Demspey type fighter. I think his two handed ferocity overwhelms a relative plodder, albeit a heavy handed one, like Berbick. I can see a similar fight and ending to Berbick v Tyson, but a more sustained beating. Max didn't have Mike's skill or timing but he came to fight and if Trevor ain't 100%, the smaller man is overwhelming him with uncultured aggression and fight ending power.
