why was this idiot on my tv? seriously, he's not a top-ranked or even vaguely important fighter, nor does he have a very charming personality. does this mean zelenoff can be a studio guest? the american boy already sounds punchy. :yep here's hoping lucero adds a few more h's to his duhhh and convinces him to call it a career.
Never watched Lucero fight before (that I can recall). But given Litzau's talent I'd go so far as to say: Litzau down twice. Then knocked flat out in the later rounds..I'm thinking round..7 or 8. Judging by his record on BoxRec, Lucero isn't a big puncher. But neither was Hernandez. Litzau will get caught eventually. And hopefully he will be relegated to prospect duty. IE: fighting up and comers for a living.
Litzau will get KO'd again at some point, but Lucero's not the one to do it. 3 out of Lucero's 4 losses were KO's within 5 rounds.
you missed the whole thing? well 'jay', as tessitore took to affectionately dubbing him several times, basically just drawled about how much heart he's got and how impressed he is with his own ability to come back off the canvas, and how unstoppable he is thanks to his fancy new mcgirt tricks (such as "movin' on ovurr and rippin to da baaady") and how he's going to walk through lucero and how hernandez didn't really hurt him. :blood and pascal had a one-sided win over an aggressively muted ikeke.
haha Im just watching him on youtube. just got knocked down by hernandez and started taking a beating and the bell comes in. Funny **** EDIT Aw man that knockout. Now I see what you guys mean. Dont look great does he.
he was just terribly overhyped, mainly by espn. touted as this monster boxer-puncher but his defense is atrocious and his power is barely above average. and that chin of his has been exposed more than janet's nipple. that and he's a cocky cow-tipping midwestern momma's boy. it'll be fun to watch him get beat up a few more times by decent fighters before he is flushed down the toiletbowl of obsolescence.
I agree with you. I could see how his attitude bugs alot of people, though. If he doesn't throw his training out the window, he should win his next fight pretty handily. I'd say Litzau KO5.
What happened to in the Wills/Johnson fight? I figured I'd miss that one, but I thought I could catch the Pascal fight at 10. I'm gettin' pretty sick of ESPN switiching the times at the last minute!!:fire Sounds like Litzau was his usual self. Not only does he have a glass jaw - as I guess you saw, he's got a VERY over-inflated opinion of his own abilities. :yep That equals a bigtime KO waiting to happen! :yep Why ESPN is hyping this guy I'll never know. Actually I do know, but I better not say!
[yt]Nvki1ZL51ME[/yt] Crappy clip..but thats about all he is. If there was a category of chin less than "China" he would be the example.
The real irony is that Litzau's accomplished something most ESPN level fighters can't- getting a loyal following of people tuning in to his every fight to see him get knocked out. Which in turn keeps the ratings for his fights higher, ensuring he'll be back, and inspiring more and more people to not like him while he makes more money because of it.
i don't doubt he'll have a long and bloody ESPN career (since he's probably too stupid to quit after repeated punishment), but his biggest payday is behind him. he had his chance at the spotlight, and i guarantee you he never makes it to another HBO broadcast.
