The funniest/dumbest comments ever made by non-boxing fans that you have heard.

I thought it would be fun to see what some of you guys have heard from non-boxing fans. I'll start with a few.

1- During Calzaghe-Hopkins, i invited my cousin who knows very little of boxing, just a few guys, and told me after the fight that "MAN Calzaghe is ducking Cotto cus he knows he will lose his 0! Cotto is a beast and wont know how to handle the pressure!" My ribs were hurting from the laughter.

2- I was watching the Pavlik-Taylor rematch with a couple of friends and when the fight was over some random dude behind me said "Pacquiao-Pavlik should be good now that he won. Pavliks strong but Pac is too fast!" hahaha

3-My manager at a restaurant i used to work, was talking about the Mayweather-Hatton fight and said "Hatton is still very good, i remember back when i saw him in the olympics when he won a gold medal.........HAHAHAH Couldnt believe he was serious.

4- This wasnt dumb it was just funny but my brother came back pissed because his account was overdrawn and told me "Should i just call out De la Hoya and take a 80/20 split with him? Cus i really need to pay my bills" i thought that was funny.

 

I had a a roomate in college that when I told him Mike Grant had a Glass Jaw he thought it meant that he had an injury and literally had his jaw bone replaced with glass. :rofl atsch

 

my girlfriend asked me if the fighters ever stop punching eachother because they feel bad for the other guy hahahah

 

Some guy at a bar once told me that Mike Tyson would have beaten a prime Muhammad Ali. I laughed in his face so hard beer came out of my nose!

Some of the funniest comments do come from women man. My girl says the same type of stuff, she said that Pavlik looks too skinny and unhealthy to compete

Someone else: "So did Chuck Wepner fight Apollo Creed in real life?"
Me: "No. Creed is fictional as well, but Chuck Wepner fought Ali."

Your cousin made a good observation. There are differences, but there were a lot of similarities between Cotto vs Margarito and Chavez vs Taylor. On the whole, he's right. :good

 

Its hard to believe, but a few years back this girl who was watching a fight with me said "Are they allowed to hit on the head?" :rofl:rofl:rofl

 

She may not know **** all about boxing but she makes the effort. Thats what counts.
