He lacks the chin and the macho to be the Yorg.

Like the Yorg says : 'In Panama the women give birth to men!' :bbb

Mayorga at his best beat THE Welterweight Champ of his time while Miranda has failed to deliver a the top level. However, currently they do bring a lot of similarities and they are very exciting.

Mayorga has fought way better names and has been champion of an entire weight class while Miranda hasn't even won a portion of the world title.

What if they fought each other...

    Mayorga would win.

Looks like it, though I'm sure Mayorga will be rated higher in terms of accomplishments. At least he has Forrest twice on his record and Piccirilo. Miranda only has Green and Eastman and don't expect anyone half decent to be added anytime soon.

Pound for pound, Edison Miranda has not proved himself to be as talented as Mayorga. Mayorga beat Forrest twice and Miranda has had a controversial fight with Abraham. Comparisons are not really in order unfortunately.

    Miranda is no Mayorga.

Prime for prime, head to head, Mayorga devours him. :nod

I'd say that Miranda has an very strong chin. Miranda's problems are in the realms of defense and ring intelligence. And when he steps up against top level opposition "chin" simply isn't enough.

Miranda will never be Mayorga. He'll never be as good in the ring or outside of it.

Mayorga is a gatekeeper now that he's past his prime.

  14. I know that was unfair and I apologize to Mayorga and Mayorga fans for the similarities. I would love to see them fight now. I think it would be a shootout

Wait for Miranda to win a title and then he'll be the next Mayorga.
