not watched it again, but it shows for a small man just what skills pryor did have underneath his windmill pro style. and it also shows that you can see the potential in such a young man as hearns was. cannot remember at the time , but i bet the kronk had loads of people fighting for his pro signature.
a pro rematch would have been impossible. anyone who saw hearns the welterweight must know he could never boil down to light welterweight.
Not neccessarily, it might've taken him 4 to get the brutal KO that would await Pryor were they to have ever faced off in the pros. I doubt it though, 3 is plenty of time.
I worked at the Forum in L.A. when Hearns fought Pipino Cuevas on circuit TV there. When Hearns knocked him out in the second round, 15.000 mostly Mexican fans started the biggest, scariest riot I had ever seen. I ended up herding many female employees into a downstairs restroom and guarding them. Hundreds of people were either stabbed or trampled in the melee.
