lets say tyson after he beat ruddock never went too jail for ****........and after lewis beat biggs(on the holy/cooper undercard nov of 91).....lets say lewis/ tyson fight in march of 1992 who wins???????....i have lewis/billups on vhs...........lewis couldnt put that dude away..... tyson stops lewis in the 9 th rd tko.....remember lewis didnt have emmanul stewart at that tyme.:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke
did u hear it from damato himself?????? razor ruddock used too beat on lewis in sparring.............kirk johnson used too beat on ike ibeabuchi in sparring SPARRING MEANS NOTHING ps if tyson didnt go too jail him and lewis would have fought in 92 or 93........there would have never been ruddock/lewis only reason why ruddock was ranked #1 by the wbc was cause he fought greg page/phil jackson to get that spot but if tyson wasnt in jail it would be tyson #1 ranking and ruddock #3 ranking and lewis at #2..... so tyson/lewis would have happened not lewis/ruddock and lewis/tucker TYSON SMOKES A SKINNY 227 LBS LEWIS IN 92..........
Tyson would destroy that version of Lewis, Lewis was nothing special at that time and it was before he got together with Steward, who helped show him how to utilize his jab and clinch when hurt, if he got introuble against Tyson at that time, it would of been over for him IMO.
Tyson cracks that shaky chin and it's all over early, very early. If mediocre fighters like McCall or Rahman could do it, Tyson sure should.
If put the myth of Lewis to bed already. Go to the Mitch Green vs. Lennox Lewis thread I made in the classic boxing forum. Any Tyson from 85 to 96, knocks Lewis out.
close call. i liked watching pre dreadlocks lewis but yea he was nothing special yet. he didn't jab as often and didn't clinch and throw massive uppercuts when clinching like both klitsckos do now. he was alittle more reckless and not very defensive wise. if mccall could pull it off, maybe tyson would, but i'd expect tyson to throw one of those one punch ko's like rahman did to lewis. any other time lewis beats him. too smart, too fast, too strong for tyson
Lennox owned him when they were teenagers. He owned him when they were in their twilight. Any version of Evander or Lennox beats any version of Tyson. It is elementary. Both Evander and Lennox were all wrong for Tyson.
The ol' tyson before douglas, would of cracked Lewis right on his china chin with one of his patented left hooks, and good night.
Tyrell Biggs and Henry Tillman also "schooled" Tyson in the Amateurs. Guess what happened in the Pros? Tyson also matured alot quicker. By the time Tyson was 18, I doubt Lewis at the same time period would last with Tyson in any sparring session. Lewis didn't mature as a fighter until much later in Tyson's career. This argument is ridiculous. Oliver McCall took out Lewis easily in 94. Tyson in that period would have done the same.
Yes, McCall took out Lennox. And Tyson was taken out by Buster and before that went the distance with horribly limited bigs in Blood, Quick, and Witherspoon.
