Bute didn't slug it out in the 12th round; that's a myth. He was already struggling in the 11th. In the 12th, his legs had gone and he soon had to fight to survive. Andrade is a tough fight for anyone at all, at 168 lbs. His strength, toughness, stamina and chin are very underrated. Bute said after the fight that even though he expected him to be very tough, he had underestimated how tough he reall was. He said it felt like he was hitting a brick wall. It doesn't matter if you can outbox him. Chin isn't even the issue, because Andrade doesn't have that much power. He grinds you down by accummulation, after tireing you down. You need strength, toughness, stamina and power against Andrade, first and formost, not to mention speed and movement.

    Kessler

    Bute

    Taylor

    Andrade

    Inkin

    Bika

The rest will earn their ranking when they start fighting. But the winner of Froch/Pascal will slot in behind either Inkin or Bika depending on the performance.

The guy that KDed Winky Wright about 100 times in France in 93,94 for the WBA JMW title.

I'd rather have Taylor ahead of Bute than behind Andrade to be honest with you...Bute and Andrade are joined at the hip for me for now...I was considering where to put him myself. :think

The winner of Froch v. Pascal could go anywhere as high as 3rd, imo, depending on the way they both perform...if Pascal shows some amazing boxing skills but Froch still beats him, after Pascal has proven his chin...why not? Alternatively, if Pascal proves his chin and puts on a masterclass...you've got to think he's pretty good...

...but, you're probably right, it's unlikely that they'll prove as much as all that in one single fight, as much as we'd like that to be the case...:good

I guess that's not bad...was he more live than the Reid Froch fought, when Inkin fought him, do you know?:think :good

I only seen parts of the fight. He was about that level or even lower. He had nothing left.He came in losing 4 of his last 5.He actually lost one to Reid a while before fighting Inkin.I think he is still fighting but he is probably on a 20 fight losing streak.Very good fighter he was now that I think of it.

It's hard to know where to place Taylor. But the way I look at it, is Bute proved to be a superior boxer to Andrade and it was his stamina and maybe a lack of experience that almost cost him down in the end. I think a lot of fighters could have the same problem against Andrade, including Taylor, but for me i'm happy to reward Taylor with 3rd spot based on the Lacy win. A dominant win after a more impressive showing in his rematch with Pavlik. Andrade has lost to the 2 best fighters he's fought. But I wouldn't really complain about it too much for someone to rank Andrade higher. I'd sooner that, than putting Taylor ahead of Bute.

Ultimately, Froch v Pascal is their first real test. We'll have to see what happens obviously, but even in either of the scenario's you've described above, i'd feel a little uncomfortable putting the winner ahead of Taylor and Andrade. It's actually the winner of this fight that I want to fight Andrade next.

But why he stopped moving from sides to sides? He was doing it very well the whole fight ...why stop so drastically in the 12?Sure he was very tired but im sure he could have run on his bicycle the whole 12 instead of staying in front of andrade hands down trying to avoid the punches...Bute caused his own trouble by not respecting his game plan....even Larouche said it clearly after the fight...he said to Bute move and hit dont take chances you have only one round left...But Bute has a big heart he wanted to please the fans and he go for it...and pay the price

Bute thought it was wise to clinch instead of fight on the inside or try and get on his bike and reset. The result was that Andrade, who is very strong, drained him of energy and tired him out and hurt him more than he would have hurt him if he had actually fought him on the inside. Bute did not prove the superior fighter on the inside at all. He was allowed to clinch too much by the ref. With another ref, he might have been hurt even more and got KOed. No...Bute has not proved to me he was superior. It doesn't matter if he outboxed Andrade for a big part of the fight.

He couldn't have got on his bike in the 12th. His legs were gone.

Yeah, the ref put a dampner on the whole fight. He allowed Bute to fight his fight but not let Andrade fight his. Hardly ideal. Obviously not every boxer has the same skillset and physical ability but throughout the fight, Bute soundly outboxed Andrade. He was physically overmatched on the inside yes and maybe Andrade could of got to him sooner with a more lenient ref. But, if/when the rematch takes place, i'll be putting my money on Bute to win a comfy pts decision. Bute, even if he has to take a couple of rounds off in the middle fo the fight, will be more wise as to how he spends his energy against this Juggernaut.

Although, as I said in previous threads, i'd prefer for both men to have another 2-3 fights before fighting again.

If Bute has slightly better stamina and he fights the same fight, Andrade takes him out!;) It wasn't the referee which really spoilt the fight...letting Bute clinch allowed Andrade to take lots of free shots at him, because Bute had no inside game. He'd have been better off fighting him off, instead of clinching. If they fight again, Andrade will be much more aggressive from the start. Unless Bute develops a good inside game fast, he loses the rematch, imo.
