Michael Grant continues winning streak...

Despite suspect timekeeping, Michael Grant won a 12 round unanimous decision over Paul Marinaccio. He knocked Paul down twice in the 7th round with right hands. So am I. He is 35 but I hope he can live up to his potential and dethrone one of the current champs. I wish him the best.

I kinda like the big fella. He's had some bad luck and also some poor performances, but he seems like a good guy. I hope he picks up some more wins and some more paydays.

Yeah, and get a little more active, too. If you're only going to fight C level guys, fight often and stay sharp and in shape. If a guy like Grant is seriously about his comeback, he should easily be fighting four times per year.

 

True, but he has been pretty active as of late. His managers said that that is one of their goals with him, to be active and also to fight one or two more no names and then up the competition. I hope that this happens soon.

 

What happend to Michael Grant was not Lennox Lewis, at that time Lennox was just a ****ing monster and would have beat any heavyweight in the world.

What really happend to Grant was Teddy know it all Atlas, when he picked up Teddy as a trainer, Teddy would insult this man on National TV he would degrade him consitantly put the man down for his performances etc..

knowing that this game is 80% mental why on earth would a trainer make their own fighter doubt themselves? I feel bad for Grant becuase with Don Turner as his trainer he did well, his only loss was against Lewis and even that fight he went out with Honor, but from the moment he got Atlas it was a different Grant.

I am so glad we dont see Teddy with many fighters now and days. To me is just isnt a good trainer, no trainer should ever do the **** that Teddy has done especially on National TV.

 

I believe Mike Grant is ONLY 33 yrs old.... He was 25 back in 2000 against Lewis..... Grant can still be a force, but he needs to believe in himself and get his ass in gear..... Time is wasting for Grant..... Cheers..

Grant was very unfortunate to end up with the simpleton Teddy Atlas, who seems to believe that shouting at a fighter will somehow produce a better result.

But he should just keep on hammering away.
