DARCHINYAN puts on brutal beating, ARCE out of hospital

    Not much to say other that it's ON for February 7, Showtime, and both interim WBA SFlyW champion Jorge Arce and WBC, WBA, IBF champion Vic Darchinyan have something to say you might like actually...

    Arce's challenge:
    "Vazquez had his shot, but he waited too long to make a decision and quite frankly, I think he was scared of the match up. I can only hope that Darchinyan won't run for the hills like Vazquez did. I really wanted the fight against Vazquez. But this is a business and right now a fight with Darchinyan makes more sense. Let's see how much guts the so-called 'Raging Bull' actually has."


    Darchinyan' response:
    "If Arce thinks he has a snowball's chance in Hell of beating me than he's a bigger sucker than those lollipops he chews on. Arce shouldn't be worrying about me running for the hills. He should be worrying about me running him out of boxing! The last real ring test he had was against Cristian Mijares in 2007 and we all know how that ended. It was a murderous unanimous decision victory for Mijares, scored 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111. And everyone saw what I did to Mijares on November 1. Arce is going to be my human piñata. It will be like a Chihuahua going against a bull...a raging bull!"

    This is THE fight someone like Mayweather or Cotto could only dream of: guaranteed trash talk AND guaranteed war by both, making this one simply the most entertaining fight of 2009.

    Vic by KO in a slobberknocker of a fight! Acre still has enough power to lay Vic out though. By I think its more likely that Vic lays him out first.

    Wow. So far 100% picked a Darchinyan KO... Last time Arce was stopped it was 1999.

    I think this is going to be a ripe example of why you never assume Fighter A will beat fighter C on the basis that fighter B beat C and A beat C.

    I'm 50/50 on who wins the fight.

    I'm 100% certain Jorge Arce will win the ring entrance battle though.
