If Clottey is able to stay consistent throughout the fight, I expect him to win via decision. However, if he still takes those long breaks during rounds, I expect Cintron to score a knockout. Either way, interesting fight.
This doesn't make sense to me, whatbuddy. How does shelling up and lowering your output make you more vulnerable to a KO when you've got a very strong chin and very difficult to penetrate defense?
I dont believe Clottey has that great of a defense. His fights with faded Corrales and Judah didnt convince me at all. He is there to be hit down the middle of his guard and with overhand rights. And guess what Cintron's money punch is the overhand right. His best bet would be to take the fight to Cintron and make him fold.
I was about to criticize your post but I then realized that your talking about some guy named Cottie and not Clottey. :deal I don't know who Clottie is and whether or not his has a bad chin but Clottey has never been hurt as far as I know. :hi:
A very unimpressive win. In fact Clottey was far more impressive in the rounds he won than Margo was in his rounds.
So if Kermit lands rights at will (most likely all at least partially blocked/picked, but partial connects nonetheless) you think Clottey's chin will crack? I mean, it's possible...if he does get hit flush it will certainly be enlightening as to whether his punch resistance is just good or actually great.
You got me there. Clottey has a good chin. Ive never seen him hurt. Im not saying that Cintron will score the KO. Just that Cintron has a great chance to do it. If only he still had Manny Steward for this one because it is a very winable fight for him. But, I expect Clottey to take the fight to him on the inside since Cintron dislikes pressure.
Thank you...some of the guys would have you think that Margo taking a total ass-whipping for the first 4 or 5 rounds wore Clottey down to the point that he just did nothing, all the while he was complaining to his corner men that he had broke both his hands...So wait... i guess they are right, bouncing all those shots off Margo's head did wear Clottey down
I agree, and I don't see Clottey as having the showstopping punch power to put Cintron away. Wide UD is how I'm seeing it. :nod
It was clear as day that Clottey wasn't the same after sustaining the injured left hand. He was landing at will to the body and head with the left hook and all of the sudden stopped throwing it. People who say that he stopped throwing the left because of stamina issues are just fooling themselves or are biased Margo fans. Plan and simple.
Margo won that fight. I give him 7-5 no doubt. And I do think Clottey fades slightly. But I am like you. I am not entertaining any of this bull**** about Clottey faking an injury and just simply NOT throwing because he was gassed. And Margo never came close to hurting him. And the nerve of some people to think Cintron really wants some of that?
