cintron is the biggest puncher in the welterweight division, he has 1 punch power, clottey can take a punch, i'm not doubting that but i just believe that 1 of cintron bombs will have too much for clottey to handle late into the fight.

people think clottey is this great fighter, he is good but nothing special, zab judah was 1 round away from a win against clottey.

That's all good, but you're prediciting a Cintron KO with Cintron behind on the scorecards. Cintron has never knocked out anyone of note. He couldn't put a dent in Margo or a rising JWW in the form of N'Dou. Clottey is about as big as Margo, has better defense, and possibly just as good of a chin. Again, I have never seen him down or even wobbled. Logic would dictate that Cintron won't be able to stop him. And although the scorecards were close, Judah was getting broke down. Clottey would've probably stopped him had that fight continued.

Clottey has a good defence, but you still can get punches through as zab showed, his straight left was working great till he got cut. Cintron prefers to throw hucks and uppercuts and throwing straight may be something he will have to work on. Late on in the fight cintron will try to throw more pwerfull punches and i believe if 1 gets through and catches clottey on the chin the he will be in trouble.

Ndou was there for the taking but i think cintron just wanted to take it the full 12 rounds.

Now why would he want to do that? That doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense. Anyway, you are predicting that a guy who has never been down or even wobbled will get knocked out. You're prediciting this despite the fact that his opponent has never knocked out anyone of note and has failed to knockout guys who are smaller and aren't as good defensively. Anyone can get stopped, but the odds are against Cintron stopping Clottey. If Cintron is to win, he'll have to do it on points.

The circumstances between Clottey/Margo fight weren't the same as to the ones in the Cotto/Margo fight so it's not a fair comparison. Refer to my multiple previous posts.

Again, too much stock is being put into this hurt hand business. He didn't have a break, or likely even a fracture. From what I recall reading it was a bruise.

Fighters have injuries all the time. This one doesn't rank very highly. I put more stock into Clottey having trouble with volume/pressure than any hand hurting. Especially after Baldomir and Gutierrez.

I disagree. Not enough stock is being put into the injury. Whether or not Clottey broke his hand is a moot point. What's relevant is that the sustained injury impaired him from throwing the left hook which he had great success up until he hurt it.

Now maybe you can give me a better explanation than 41Fever did to why Clottey stopped throwing the left after the 4th if he wasn't as hurt as he claimed? As I pointed out to him, Clottey dominated the first 4 rounds and it was at the start of the 5th that the fight turned to Margo's favor. Was it really a coincidence that Clottey complained after the 4th about his hand and stopped throwing the left at the start of the 5th? 41fever argued that Margo took his heart which makes zero sense to me considering the fight was one-sided up until the start of the 5th. How could Margo have taken Clottey's heart when he was severely getting beaten?

Very good points made by BigReg and Beenie, I really think Clottey is underrated by many posters, would love to see him fight the winner of Margo/Cotto2 if he gets by Cintron.

What are you talking about? Clottey beat the hell out of Corrales. Corrales lost just about every round, was knocked down twice, was cut, and had his jaw broken. Clottey looked pretty good in that fight.

Yes, Clottey dominated that fight. But honestly, I was surprised he couldn't knock Diego out. :think

:lol:I knew someone would come on on me yes he look great but to be honest i was looking for Clottey to stop him in the mid round's that's my point.
Cause like i said Chico was shot as hell and went from 135 to 147 i just think any other fighter at 147 would have stop him.
