Enzo - the most dubious titlist ever?

    He didn't really win his first title cuz the WBO handed it to him after Nelson retired and now he's fighting a no-name opponent who doesn't even deserve to be on the undercard.

    Throw in the defenses he made against C-level opposition and the fact that he got sparked in 2 rounds in the only fight he had against a live opponent and you have the epitome of a paper champion. How can the WBO even let this happen? Herbie Hide is right there and more than deserving of a title shot and then this. What was once a belt that was proudly worn by Johnny Nelson and before him Carl Thompson has become an absolutely worthless bauble.

    Johny Nelson was a worse wold champ by far so was Gavin Rees. What did Johny Nelson do to make you say he wore the belt proudly. I don't remember him rematching people he drew with and he never fought one really good fighter.

    Nelson and Rees both won their titles from existing champions. I think you're missing the point that's being made.

    Johnny Nelson was a good fighter, unfortunatley because of his negative style people didnt want to fight him or watch him, so he wasnt worth the risk of the big names fighting him, he was going to fight Enzo but unfortunatley he pulled out with a career ending injury so Enzo never had the chance to win it properly, and the same thing is happening on saturday, he is just unlucky Banks and Nelson pulled out, otherwise he would have had his chance to win it properly, but he did beat Braithwaite, which is a very credible win, so i think its safe to say the guy is worthy champion skill wise.

    enzo has never beaten a top 30 ranked boxer apart from braithwaite who was overrated at 17 in the wbc, 22 by the wbc and 15 by the ibf

    ummm...

    Banks got hurt......

    BJ Flores turned it down because it was too short of notice.... So wat do you expect because of the fights thats on the card, they won't cancel or postpone the show... I think that this should be at the very most, a WBO interim title fight...

    Dont blame Macaroni take your anger out on Warren. Herbie was up for the fight but Warren got some untested guy instead.

    Herbie wasn't up for the fight, he turned it down, as he has confirmed. Why are people not getting this?
