LOL...well im thinking about 2 particular posters...

Mr. Magic vs Fourty Ounce was/is classic rivlary.

Fourty is Peter's biggest fan here and Mr. Magic is one of his biggest...hmmm i'll say detractors...Their back and forth posts were masterpieces....getting to the point of physical threats and bragging about going to jail and arrest records :happy

it went on for a couple of months til the Peter-Vitali fight. Looks like we know who won the ultimate argument in that one.

Here is a classic 40oz response to Mr. Magic regarding Peter's supposed busted eardrum.

MR MAGIC: PLEASE will you SHUT THE **** UP about the eardrum.
    Peter was floored, PERIOD.
He was dancing in the Wladimir Klitschko fight, he was visibly hurt in the Maskaev fight, stop making excuses for EVERY LITTLE thing that ever happened your man, his chin is questionable.

40: Shut me the **** up you *****... SHUT THE **** UP ALREADY ABOUT HOW MCCLINE FLOORED HIM WHEN THE MAN HAD A GODDAMN RUPTURED EARDRUM!!! Oh yea he was wobbled for what about 3 ****ing secs in the Wlad fight after he took bombs all night,,, show me a vid of peter shaken in the Maskaev fight

MR MAGIC: Watch out CHEF, this guy used to do time for beating up "people like me"

40: Watch out CHEF,,this guy said he would break everybone in my face:rofl:rofl:rofl and yes I have been locked up in the past for fighting,, I take it you have never been in a fight huh lol

These two are in my top 5 of favorite posters

Its either Calzaghe fans vs hater or Klit fans vs haters. I went with Klit fans vs haters because that has been going on forever.

The other option are nothing really. For example, pac vs latino fans... well, because Pac has beaten many mexican fighters they usually defend Pac more than anyone else! So that is not a rivalry at all.

Klitschko haters are starting to get desperate. their only argument now is everyone in the division sucks. pretty good thinking there cause despite no matter how many wins or titles they get, their beating a bunch of bums.

oh...that's only up until the Hayemaker gets the Frankenstein Sisters in the ring. Then a new era in boxing begins :yep

well i think the argument "he's beating a bunch of bums" applies to wlad more. Vitali is a great fighter but wald has been very consistent, dominant albeit less than crowd pleasing at times, scoring ko's, taking care of his mandatories, unifying..etc at some point u gotta give the guy some credit and at least commend him for his consistency and dedication.

Holmes and Louis didn't fight really good opposition in a lot of their fights but their reigns were long and consistent. wlad is a long's way off but he's on a similar path.

not saying he's an atg but i don't think a lot of fighters including some ATGs could be so good for such an extended time. Guys like Vitali (injuries), Bowe (dedication), Foreman, Holyfield didn't have extended runs of dominance.

I would widen and further explain your correct answer.

Joe Calzaghe fans vs REALITY, KNOWLEDGE and RATIONALITY.

    They battle REALITY because...

...they continually argue that Calzaghe should be p4p#1 above Pacquiao - refusing to confront the REALITY that even if Manny was deposed from no.1, Calzaghe would still not be no.1 as he is only no.3 just now. The REALITY is he is not even in the equation just now.

    They battle KNOWLEDGE because...

...they frequently make comments on this forum about how Joe is top 5 of all-time (yes, Pugilist64 said this recently) or top 20 (yes, Rickx1 said this recently), or that he MUST be included in a sensible top 50, or that it's ludicrous that anyone could have a top 100 without him in it - yet all this serves to show is that Calzaghe fans are mostly (there are exceptions - TFFP and Cuchulain are the only two I can think of just now though) lager-guzzling three-fight-a-year Union Jack clad imbeciles who simply do not possess the knowledge of boxing and boxers to realize it is INSANE to include Calzaghe in a top 5, ABSURD to include him in a top 20, SILLY to include him in a top 50, and perfectly possible and valid to not even have him in a top 100. They also battle knowledge in another way - they cannot grasp that looking sensational blowing away Mario Veit or Richie Woodhall or any other selected mediocre challenger does not equate to a great fighter. Calzaghe is widely thought of to be a skilled and formidable boxer - but where is the proof?? The Kessler fight was the only time there has been any proof that he could do to true quality opponents what he did to tomato cans - but even Kessler is not close to a prime ATG. The perception of his skills is built on nothing but the thrashing of overmatched opponents.

    They battle RATIONALITY because...

...they think longevity equals greatness, and either refuse to or simply do not understand the importance of resume. A 9-year WBO title reign set almost exclusively in Wales from 1997-2006 facing a SHOCKING general standard of opposition followed by wins over the overhyped and undertalented Jeff Lacy and a highly unimpressive SD over Bernard Hopkins that was achieved purely on workrate against a more skilled opponent who, at 43, had stamina issues. The single solitary time in the guy's entire career where he has done what a fighter has to do consistently over many years to be considered a true ATG (look brilliant against a true quality opponent) was the superb win over Mikkel Kessler. Calzaghe has longevity, but this means little when the standard of fighter he was beating is examined. He has a zero, but this means little when the standard of fighter he was beating is examined. His resume is poor, and this is the most important thing in boxing. Rational fans know this.

History will show that these dewy-eyed Calzaghe maniacs lose the battle on all three counts.

Lately its the Margo vs Williams/Floyd battle. Since Pavlik got outclassed the Calzaghe vs the people battle has really lost fuel.

Though neither are heated and emotional, more petty and stupid.

Don't worry the Hayemaker will clean up this mess, ending the Klitschkos reign of boredom.
