After rewatching Oscar-Vargas last night, i wanna talk about one of Oscars.......

    best weapons...... THE JAB!.... It is a complete INSULT in the highest degree that Freddie Roach said Amir Khan has a better jab then Oscar! I mean besides Winky and Ike Qurtay Oscar has one of the best jabs in the last decade in those divisions. He was just popping the **** out of Vargas with his snappy and crisp jabs. He also showed his great jab against Floyd, Mayorga, Trinidad, and countless other fights.

    I like Freddie but that comment just pisses me off every time i think about it ! :twisted:

    Oscar has a great jab and Freddie is over-selling this fight. When that article came out and Roach said that he had canceled Manny's going away party because he just saw something new in an Oscar fight tape I groaned. Cut the bull****, man.

    Good observation, I just wish he'd used that jab against Money more so than he did. According to many in the comm. that's one of the ways in which he ****ed up. He should have used the double-pop jab to set for effective combos.

    Oscar is no longer the same fighter that fought Vargas

    and anyways Manny has never been troubled by great jabs and great left hooks. Its the right hand that bothers him. Oscar's right hand is very good but not great

    What are you guys talking about? Oscar didn't use the jab to great effect against Floyd. Floyd was picking off that weak jab all day and hammering his ass to the body. The last time I saw Oscar as a competitive upper tier fighter, it was when he fought Tito. After that fight I've only seen glimpses of his prime self come out.

    IN reality Oscar was using his jab to great effect against Floyd until the seventh round - when he either stopped using it or Floyd took him out of his gameplan to use his jab.

    Agreed. The problem is he doesn't use it as often as he should. The floyd fight is a perfect example.

    DLH lost his jab against Mayweather. Barely used it. He better use it against Manny or Manny has a chance on the cards.

    Vargas and Mayorga were both after he fought Tito and those were two of his best performances :deal
    So what the hell are you talking about? Yea he's slowed down but not right after Tito... **** he fought Great in the both Mosley fights as well!!

    His jab is good but he stops using it if he gets frustrated.Still I agree Roach is talking **** to the max here.

    All of the Ecko products custom made for Team Cotto are cool,the piece in that one was really cool,with the glasses he was really pimpin'.Too bad the next day it didn't turn out good.But Miguel will be back:yep
