He's 0-5 against the four best fighters he faced
    (Mayweather, Hopkins, Trinidad, Mosley)

He's had controversial and disputed decisions against
(Ike Quartey, Felix Sturm, Pernell Whitaker)

Sure you can say he "outboxed Tito for 8 rounds (wow), and Mosley II, but that's the point........He's NEVER DISTINGUISHED HIMSELF as great

Is he an all-time great for FIGHTING EVERYODY......He damn sure didn't BEAT many great fighters....

His only notable wins of this decade (it's basically 2009 folks) are:
Fernand Vargas after Tito nearly killed that guy with 5 knockdowns; and
Ricardo Mayorda after Tito nearly killed that guy with 3 knockdowns

He's a good, competitive attractive fighter, that's it, nothing special..I feel like this board is filled with a bunch of ***gots who would prefer to talk about a man's marketing ability as opposed to a bunch of "real" fight fans who could care less about that **** and just want to see "great fights."

This guy is going to be worse than Don King:-:)dead
At least while DK "dicked" his fighters, he still provided us with great fights.

DLH has been robbed against Tito and Mosley. He has also got a credible record filled with guys who were, was and will be champs. De La hoya IS an ATG.

You're a fool or a serious nuthugging troll..........

How the **** can you be robbed when you don't distinguish yourself in those fights.......He fights to be competitve with GREAT FIGHTERS :deal

He outboxes Tito for the majority NOT ALL of 8 rounds runds and thinks that's enough, NOT the stuff of an ATG:-(

LOL....you also know that the Disputed decisions where he lost were also very close...like his "L" to Tito and Shane the 2nd fight. As you know shane admited to doping in their first fight which could be over turned as a NC.

So regardless of what you TRY to pass off as logical reasoning your theory has too many holes to be taken seriously. Bottom Line DLH has never lossed convingingly.

He's faught the best of the best and has always put up a very competitive fight against boxings best. The losses he has besides the Bhop loss all have been close and contraversail meaning they could have gone either way.

So with that said DLH has faced almost every TOP or ELITE level fighter in his day..in or around his weight class and he's always preformed at the highest level....he's just been on the short end and the winning end of those fights. But regardless of all of that...what DLH has done in the ring with just the wins he has is enough to warrant an ATG status.
