The fights against Jones and against Hopkins should have never happened. But Tito still saying that if he fights in 2009 has to be in no less than 160lbs. He said he can't make 147 or 154lbs. Oscar De la Hoya is living proof that Tito doesn't make 147 or 154lbs simply because he doesn't want to work hard. I was Tito's fan. So, I have to say: "If you don't want to work hard anymore its ok. Just stay retired and enjoy your money".
How should the fight with Hopkins never had happened? Tito held one of the belts and Hopkins the other 2, it was a legitimate fight
tito is a bigger guy than oscar...how do u know how hard he trains and what weight his body allows him to be at??? and i am not even a big fan
Tito is nothing without his illegal handwraps, everytime the opposition have watched his hands being wrapped his power magically vanished.
Yes the Hopkins fight was legitimate and he got his ass beat by one of the greatest fighters of all time. Absolutely no shame in that, especially since he wasn't at his prime weight.
This is a sorry ass trade....why even bother explaining how different body types react differently to gaining/losing weight.
He should have never retired after the loss to B-Hop. Most likely, if he had kept on fighting he would have been more respected by boxing fans and nobody would question his legacy.
His frame is likely larger than Oscar's. If he couldn't make 154lbs without draining himself, then he's smart not to try.
Yes, the Hopkins fight was definitely legitimate. Trinidad showed that he could fight at Middleweight... this isn't a subject of debate, really.
yea the hopkins fight was legitimate the roy fight was a joke to make roy look good when he was already shot so he could get that last big check tito should retire
