    Thanks, I've been looking and posting for weeks, but I can't seem to find hardly anything in terms of specific routines when it comes to drills for footwork / handspeed / plyometrics for fighters in more modern times... really frustrating :(

    Ok, here is why I like this vid. It taught my body to move in an explosive yet fluid manner. It breaks the boredom of just jump roping in one place because we do not stand in one place during a fight. Also the Russians estimated in thier studies that 70+% of your power comes from your trunk and legs. Thus, while improving your footwork, you up your explosiveness when punching.

    I have used most of these drills and they help me and perhaps help you as well. I know there is the saying that some if not all elite fighters succeed in spite of their training methods but give some things a chance and maybe it will do wonders for you.

    I do those push-ups! Very hard! But see benefits in my punching power.

    Yup them Thai style pushups are violent but helpfull.
