I really like Geale, seems to be a good bloke and I like his fighting style.
He isn't the hardest puncher, but he is technically quite good, evasive skills are reasonable, but his best attribute is being able to keep his cool when pressured.

He couldn't keep up with the best right now, but he's only young and has a long way to go. Having said that, he wouldn't be a walk over for anyone.

I think he has very good potential if pointed in the right direction.

don't need to just giving real feed back of people here in perth. change of opponent 5 days out yet no one told?! worse still "new" fight lasted 30 seconds. most fighst were "crap". still charged top $'s, even as much as green charged at his shows were were 10 levels above! positives were the actual production of the event.

Geale is a good young fighter who needs to step up in quality of opposition. He should know by now from team fenech that feeding off stiffs doesn't prepare you for when your fighting for the title. Its time he fought Soliman as a gauge to see where he stands.

Mel (1 in 1m) The loss against Bruce proves he embarassed oz boxing. He had ample time to train and like I said he was beaten in the hand department.

I'm not going to argue the point in a thread devoted to a good aussie boxer.

I will be watching the fights tonight, supporting Geale and watching Lenny.

    :rofl:rofl

    Good post

I have been impressed with Geale since i saw him Ko Dom Devanna on Fox.
I fell he has good skils, but its not worth having them if you are not fighting.
ALso in his last fight against Geard i was not totally impressed with that fight.

I dont understand how people can get on here and say he is being badly managed. They have helped get him a world title and a world rating and top ten at that. Boxrec have him at number 4. From what ive seen i think he can mix with the best in his division. I hate how aussie bag our own fighters, i just dont get it, all these threads baggin geale, kicket, zappa. There undefeated fighters except kicket but that was luck and i dont think it will happen again. Kicket is my favourite fighter and the most talented prospect by far.

i think u read wrong mate. i dont see anyone bagging geale.
im a huge fan from his home town and i chatted to his old coach who had him for ten years. and what i posted is basicly what he said.
sure he got the world title shot, but he has gone backwards since then.
grange must be tight with the cash, cause a **** load of guys would love to fight for the IBO belt.
dont you think he should go the the US and really test himself. he needs to sign to a american promoter now, grange wanna make money off him and im cool with that, but Dan should get someone with the right conection overseas. grange gym is a great brand and good for aussie boxing, but they should be only training him and let the big suits do the numbers and contracts.

thats fair enough mate, i think the grange have done well for him up until now, next year he would want to start pickin it up and maybe thats the plan. Maybe they are trying to build up a few more fights before they launch him in to fight top ten opponents. Time will tell hey. But you are right in saying if the grange dont get him some big fights next year there doing him no favours.

I like Geale but his lack of power may see him struggle when he fights the top guys.

Geale doesnt look to capitalize and follow up with shots..

Sure he looks skillful and a class above against ordinary opponents,
but on what I seen last night - he aint getting near Mundine in
a hurry, even though as some have pointed out, that Mundine is
on the decline - he would account for Geale easily.
