Once he has the WBC strap and then beats the likes of Bute, Taylor and co the likes of RJJ will be drawn to him like pikeys to caravans. Only thing is the Cobra will KO RJJ.

Khan has been taking pony fights with randoms and journeymen because he is milking the uneducated boxing fans on sky BO, making millions (and more millions doing reality tv shows) fooling them into thinking he is something special already. Because of his financial pull he could have probably fought someone big by now, and has avoided the British Title and domestic contenders like Thaxton and Murray because they are dangerous fights and the casual observer hasnt heard of them.

Froch on the other hand, has been desperately seeking big name fights during the last few years but unable to get them- Taylor, Calzaghe, etc.., and has owned the british title for some time so is worthy of seeking big european and world fighters. he is probably also aware that at the age of 31 sitting around being polite and therefore staying out of the press isnt gonna get him the big fights he craves.

foolish to even compare them. Froch is a true boxer that has risen the proper way, Khan is a media creation of a boxer. i really want Froch to win and make some top fights after... Khan, hope he does well if he intends on getting some big names soon and not pussyfooting around on Sky BO with journeymen for the next few years.

 

In addition, how refreshing is it to see a British fighter having his first world title fight for the WBC and not WBO?? how many other British fighters around today have not picked up the WBO first? Haye for one...
Obviously it would only be non-Warren fighters.

I think that is why Khan is disliked - he seems to have been put on a pedestal during this irresistible crusade to a world title, without actually realising that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication.
