Arreola can easily defeat Povetkin & Chagaev? What are you smokin'? Povetkin outworked Eddie Chambers, who is a very good defensive boxer & Chagaev decisioned Valuev & Ruiz. What exactly has Chris done to be mentioned in the same sentence as those fighters? You don't think he's a bit too green & void of serious boxing fundamentals & talent?

Arreola had his hands full with Travis Walker, he was slapped around the ring for the first round & dropped in the second. He has heart & determination to go with a good punch, but that's about it so far.

He has no business being in the ring with anyone in the top ten, if you ask me.

Beating Travis Walker is not a pass to the top of the division.

Arreola ought to see if he can get past someone barely top fifteen. And given how Walker had him down, and was pasting him in the first round, Arreola will come to a grinding halt, once he starts fighting good, name opponents.

Exciting fighter, yes, but he's nothing to have any hopes in.

People underrate Chagaev here, he's not a bad boxer at all. Povetkin would beat Arreola too. So would Sultan Ibragimov.

Silly question.Vitali ain't Travis Walker....he can finish the job.It would take him no more than 4 or 5 rounds.

I actually want to see the return of Sultan. He was a good boxer who dominated much bigger fighters all while looking like a bus driver! Chagaev has some good skills too & a match between those 2 would be very exciting IMO.

Speaking of the forgotten Soviet fighters, what the **** happened to Sergei Liakhovich? A couple of losses & he's disappeared?

Chagaev and Sultan, both seem to have dropped out of sight, entirely.

I don't think I've ever seen a previously undefeated fighter like Sultan take his first loss so hard........:blood

And given that Chagaev is still undefeated, even in his injury downtime, you'd think he would be making some sort of public statements. Not heard a peep out of him in quite some time, either.

Chagaev last news in october (english) : http://www.boxing.de/index.php?id=402&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=23543&no_cache=1

One thing that impresses me is that he beat Felix Savon twice in the amateurs when he was only 19 years old. The only foreign fighter to accomplish this feat when you know Savon gave hell to a lot of heavyweight contenders & champions.
