His defence at times tonight was embarasing. Dont get me wrong, well done to Frioch for winning what was a cracking fight but he could be a so much better fighter if he listened a bit more.

Come on jeff, calzaghe has proven over and over what a tough **** of a fighter he is, but this Froch doesnt have a chance, Joe is just too smart.

Yes, Kessler is a pertinent fight because it shows Joe can change **** when the going gets tough. When Froch gets landing a few tough right hooks, do you think calzaghe's gonna be in range after 2 of them? More importantly, has/will Froch show any more variety?

Either way I don't believe the fight will happen (and a good job for Carl).

Froch won but that jab was just pawing.

Fight was closer than the cards and entertaining though.

Froch gets away with fouling like hitting when he's holding the guy with the other.

Nope. That jab puffed up his face. The consistent jab, not those winged in power shots that didn't land often enough.

Absolutely, I hope Froch picks up the batton, I really do. I thought he would be more impressive though, that's my only thought. I hoped to see more but he did what he had to do and he's the best SMW in the UK right now.

I like Carl and want him to kick Taylor's butt but it's now time to stop with the Calzaghe **** as he's made his own name.

At the end of the day no-one knows how good or bad Pascal really is - apart from having a good chin.

    Calzaghe KO1 Froch :rasta:rasta:rasta:rasta

Pascal seemed okay. He's like Taylor-lite, so he's good preperation if that fight happens for Froch. The difference is he doesn't use a consistent jab like Taylor which would trouble Froch during his periods of inactivity.

Froch would need to land a better shot against Taylor than he did tonight.

I kinda disagree. Froch stepped up tonight and proved that he could handle it. I think it was the right fight for him tonight. But if he got in with a streetwise/smart guy like Calzaghe, he's not little chsnce. Froch would make Taylor look stoopid.

Why would he make Taylor look stupid? Froch would look stupid for the most part, pending him landing the neccessary shots. Taylor has a better jab than Pascal, he's probably quicker if anything and more experienced at this level. I think he does most things better than Pascal, and his perceived weaknesses are the same. Chin and stamina.

In that respect, this is excellent preperation. Froch knows he needs to perform better against a similar opponent whos strengths are that bit better than Pascal's.

because taylor is gunshy... froch can bang and taylor footwork/defence is nothing to write home about. froch is a feeling out fighter and taylor has manufactured his own stlye post pavlik.... talyor has far less chance than pascal... i bleive.

Whether you think taylor has the better jab is purely speculative... i personally thin froch outjabs taylor sith superior authority but thats neithrer here nor there. both are lacking that killer instinct that would serve them well.... but then again, so is B-Hopkins.

I agree. And people forget that Taylor is new to Super-Middleweight. Froch has a decent jab and can keep people at range as he has arms like big tentacles. I think he would KO Taylor.

Can't see Froch KO'ing Taylor but he would put such a beating on him that the US would have to take notice. If I were froch, I'd take the Taylor fight for next to nothing, in the states and call out calzaghe.

Froch can't just stand there taking shots for fun like he does, no matter how tough he is...
