I would have to disagree with you there, I think BHOP gave him a tougher road to victory than KEssler did... Once Calzaghe adjusted to Kessler's style, it was easy for him

Froch made me a fan tonight.I don't think he wil rule SMW but he is a player in the division.Him vs Taylor is what I want to see.

    A good summing up......
I think Carl would beat most around the Supermiddle division except Calzaghe and Kessler. Joe's speed and workrate, and Mikkel's power and conventional mastery would make a landslide points decision over the more pedestrian, guard-free Froch. Can't see Taylor, Bute, Inkin or Pavlik hurting him or outpointing him because of his excellent chin and long reach. All fights would be interesting though because he is still partly an unknown quantity.

Froch has simply got his name out there now. He's holding a prestigious belt and that will make him more marketable. Maybe Inkin will be tempted into a unification should he successfully defend against Balszay. Plent of options out there for Froch. But if I was in Hennessy's shoes i'd keep my star fighter out of Kessler's way for now. 3-4 fights down the line then go for it but not now.

your very harsh, infact you must harbour some sort of hate towards froch- he was brilliant...he took big shots rite on the money but he had confidence in hes chin and we can c why.....also just to mention- remember taylor people actually turned down froch to fight lacy for less money

good post i agree with most of what you said....although i do think froch has the best chance of beating calzaghe out of anyone..lets face it calzaghe is almost certainly not gonna hurt froch, and make no mistake froch can box as well as throw bombs. I like kessler but he stepped up to fight joe(a great fighter) and lost pretty decisivley in the end. Calzaghe even hurt him in that fight with a body shot, id give froch a great shot to beat him. How many opponents has kesser fought like froch?

If taking big shot after big shot right on the money is his only attribute then he isn't going to hold onto that belt very long. Ask Jeff Lacy, you need more than just a world class chin in this game. Froch looked slow, sloppy and with poor fundamentals.

    Why?

You will get there dude. Just watch Kessler in the next fight or two and you will get it.

Joe said just a few weeks ago (it is probably still on youtube) that Kessler was the only fighter where he after 7 rounds thought he might be losing. When he saw Kessler tire in rounds 7-8 he believed he would win. He also said in another interview that Kessler is the best fighter he has ever fought.

So there is really no discussion.

    :huh:huh

I think you have the names twisted around a bit-rookie mistake-it happens but yes Froch would wipe the floor with Taylor in 5.

Actually, the one who proved himself is Jean Pascal. No one gave him a chance. Contrary to what the morons here said (Huki and the other idiots who called it an early KO for Forch), Jean Pascal's chin is solid. The problem with him is his balance.

    Very competitive fight.

Jean, I'm ****en proud of you pal.
