Oscar WAS once a great fighter!!! Key word ONCE he no longer has the headspace to beat a manny pacqauio he will be Either Harshly Decisioned or TKO'd. I dont see like a Blinding Knockout But i see something like very similar to the Marquez/Morales Fights Happening here.. Except Now pac is bigger doesnt have to cut asmuch if any weight In my opinion that makes a guy Stronger. Ive been watching the HBO 24/7's and Pacman Looks Amazing Oscar Looks really good Too but i think hes really Got alot in his head about this fight and Any fighter will tell you This game is Alot about your Mind if your Let another fighter Get into your Head How i Believe De La Hoya has let Pacman into his Your in Some trouble No matter How hard you Train if you dont Believe 100% in yourself.

 

People fail to realize that DLH is a very game fighter, just look how close he fought against the P4P #1 not too long ago.

so what is the op implying, Manny was the bigger man against every fighter he went up against and him & DLh are of equal size?

 

DLh is only an 8-5 favorite. I don't advocate gambling but if people on here are so confident put your money where your mouth is.

I think this fight is a farce no matter how close in size they look. I definitely want to watch it, for free of course , but think DLH should be fighting Margarito or Williams.

As much as I think you're a delusional homo, I'm picking Oscar to win because of his size...

Manny will be expelling far too much energy to push around a CLEARLY much bigger man in DLH and won't be as mobile as he typically is. Manny's power will probably not carry over too well either, so Oscar will be able to withstand the punches and pick his power shots wisely and time him to tee off on his head. If Manny were to try and box him then I think he can do it. But Manny is gonna go in there guns blazing and try to take Oscar out. Oscar is a better counter puncher then he is an aggressor. Manny's style will play into his demise...The fact that DLH will be punching in a downward motion as opposed to across or up, gives DLH much pop in his power shots making him a MUCH more dangerous fighter...

To think this is NOT a size mismatch or an easy victory for DLH if he just sticks to a ****in' gameplan, makes you my friend

Styles make fights. When Manny outweighs his oponents by 10-15 pounds, he normaly can get away with pushing them around. Not tonight.

Even if it did carry well, Oscar has a great ability to catch punches like he did against Mayweather and the Hard hitting Mayorga. He teed of Mayorga's head because of style, but was unable to do it with PBF for the same reasons. Styles make figths.

It happens. That is why boxing, styles matter. I'm glad we can agree on this. But since Manny is no PBF, he will not enjoy remotely the same success PBF had.

Someone should have mentioned that to Corrales when he fought PBF..oh well. Quite frankly, pop is a techniqe not determined by height. The master of POP Tyson had to punch upwards most of his career.

However, just because I can make the weight or I can fight at a particular weightclass, that dosn't make me a boxer that belongs that weightclass.

WIGHTHCLASS AND SIZE ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.

Widdow...... Pac does not belong to the 147 pounds.... he may belong to 140.

 

I wish I had money on this fight. I like Pac much more than DLH, who's more of a promoter than a fighter at this point. This is a mismatch, unless DLH has really slipped or hasn't taken this fight too lightly. Pac's superior speed & workrate will make it interesting for awhile, but Oscar's got an excellent chin and is just too big and too strong for Pac.

Manny has a small frame that he has added a lot of muscle too over the course of his career. In addtion to a 4 inch height advantage and a half foot reach advantage, I have serious doubts about Manny's chin at this weight.

2-1 odds on Oscar are too generous methinks.
