Pac has an outside chance but I expect Oscar to win. Wouldn't be surprised if Manny takes the first few rounds before Oscar takes him out.

I'm of the opinion that this will be a complete mismatch in Oscar's favour. I kind of hope I'm wrong although I've put £50 on DLH.

no chance in terms of judging from pacmans last fights. He fights more offensive than defensive, and at this weight class he will feel it heavy. One aspect that will make pac a favorite is his speed, and combos.

Add to this De la Hoyas propensity to tire down the stretch and Mannys incredible workrate and you don't quite have the mismatch everyone anticipates.

Stylistically its hard to find comparable opponents on each fighters resume. I'd be tempted to compare De La Hoya to Barrera both sylistically and in approach, reliance on the jab etc.

Manny doesn't really appear in any form on De La Hoyas incredible CV.... the one fighter I keep thinking of is Pernell Whitiker... not because Manny and Pernell are going to be compared any time soon- purely because Pernell is a southpaw who was small and used his size and creativity to catch De la Hoya napping time and time again.

De La Hoya is no physical phenomanon like Roy Jones or Floyd but he's a brilliant punch picker and a hard puncher but he's very much a mortal, especially at 35.

Pacman will start very fast as alway and I wouldn't be suprised to see him on the deck early like the Barrera fight. But I have a sneaky suspision that he will get the upset win tonight. Pacmans stoppage losses were freakish... Just like De la Hoyas early career knockdowns. I think De La Hoya takes a early lead but Pacman comes into the fight from the third, troubles De La Hoya with his power throughout and completely outworks him in the championship rounds to take a UD.

We got Pacquiao. I didn't see the stoppage either, I underestimated quite how bad Hoya is. Pacquiao did it like how I played this out in my head, in out movement and speed.

I had a rush of blood just before the fight and had pacquiao at 7/1 for the KO/TKO with Ladbrokes.

Glad I did.
