Oscar didn't quit... get off the nonsense. He simply stopped disagreeing with his corner. Oscar never asked them to stop the fight. In reality, it should have been stopped a round sooner. It's sad to see a corner that won't take the fight in their own hands.
Some people aren't satisfied when a fighter is beat, but also want to see them killed in the ring after it's not competitive anymore. Sadists. Where were you rooting when Leavander Johnson wasn't a quitter in 2005 when he died in the ring?
I agree with you about De La Hoya and the rest, but IMO not Cotto. Going down during a round where you had been getting brutalized is not the same as ending it at a moment when you're not under intense pressure.
give it a rest. de la hoya isn't 1 dimensional. it's what he gives outside of the ring that matters. personally, i think boxing is a brutal sport left for those with the will and the guts to give of themselves others won't. only the elite should get into boxing
