Yeah right, Tszyu..Duran...Delahoya, Freitas, Morales.. All quitters atsch respect to all fighters please
:-( atsch  Real reasons: --Oscar maintained too much of a weight loss for too long of a time and was weakened. --Pacquiao was a fast, quick and powerful lefthander. --DLH did not have anything in the tank to go on with and his corner knew that he was soon to be stopped.
The fight has to be stopped when a fighter is taking a beating and won't go down. Oscar's got tremendous chin. It was very likely he'd get chewed up for three more rounds and not go down, just get beat more and more. That's very dangerous. If the ko doesn't save the boxer in trouble then the corner/ref need to do it. If Oscar hadn't agreed to stopping the fight I'm sure his corner would have thrown in the towel. I was expecting it to happen a little earlier but it never did and was worried that because Oscar is such a big star they would let the fight go on. Luckiliy they didn't. Oscar was done, we all knew it. But damn, Pac looked smooth as ****.:thumbsup
exactly what would dlh have accopmlish had he kept on fighting other then continue to take a beating. its easy for you to call a fighter a quitter but lets see u take that type of punishment.
How so, both were getting their ass beat and both quit. Whats not to compare? And dont try to spin it that it was Cottos team. Cotto admitted in an interview that was posted here that he quit and it was his decision to stop the fight.
Really? I hate DLH. I did think he would win and said several times that the fight was a farce and a joke.
So, when Cotto admits he quit in an interview a couple days after the fight, means nothing? You know nothing. Cotto quit, deal with it.
I agree Cotto toke a serious beatdown....his body was falling a apart fighting a supersized Mexican :-(
