If Audley Harrison really wants to find away around this..

He should stay in training all year round, and every top 10 contender that fights.

Audley Harrison should contact their..promotor's before every fight, and say he is ready to be a replacement...fighter if anything happens.

It only take's 1 fight..1 fight to shake things up in this game.

I think he knew pretty much right a way that he would never really cut it in the pro's, and he milked it for all its worth with million pound deals etc, and hence a snail like career. He did financially very well out of it though - relative to his success on the pro stage...

Now I think he's having trouble accepting that the glamour and gravy train is over.

Agree on this. Oquendo stepping in against Toney after his long lay-offs may well put him back in the mix if he happens to win. Harrison should just get the **** out of the UK and base himself in Germany or somewhere.
Try to get a matchup vs up and comers and market himself as a potentially tough opponent no more than that.

If he does come back it may well be how he's done it in the past ... slowly and against limited competition. He should discard that ultra-pragmatic approach to both his career and fighting mentality.

If I was a Brit I'd probably be right against this bloke especially for avoiding fellow Brits early under his BBC deal. I'm Australian and just remember Sydney 2000 and in odd conversations I mentioned him as a future player. So even if he kept at it and at least got a handful of decent wins under his belt to salvage his reputation that'd be ok.

    "I almost got it!"

Yes, Fraudley, you almost beat a game domestic novice. That's not progress.

Harrison is so lazy that even his excuses sound lame now.
