Your BIL's dad must be influential in my country. The norm is it's whom you know and not what you know. Yes, we seem to know each other by calling each other by our first name. The VP is Noli or Kabayan (townmate).

    ^^^^^RESPECT

I also admire the way he helped the less privileged here with his charity work much like Manny does in his country, so the amount of money and love they got last night and before, is very well deserved.

Why did Oscar come back into the ring at 147? Somebody in that training camp blew it. they brought him all the way down to 145 and then only rehydrated two pounds. Me and a buddy of my both agreed that he should hydrated at least 10 pounds and been at 155 last night. Oh well, good for Pac he's the best. Bring on Pac and Hatton.

It was funny seeing him get excited by seeing them in the ring last night. funny in a cute way if that makes sense. He's also like a 6'5 Filipino and his son is the runt in the family at 5'7. Awesome guys. They told me of how they would hold **** fights back home and these politicians would show up. Pretty cool.

You're hate-filled rantings are no better in this forum than your ill-informed demonstrations of ignorance on HIV transmission in the lounge.

I remember ****s like you at the end of Ali's career.

They characterized his legacy as Draft-dodger, muslim fanatic, glove-cheater with Cooper, and quitting on his stool against Holmes, etc.

If the Greatest of all time can have insignificant little ****s besmirch his career, it's hardly surprising that a far lesser boxer like Delahoya can have a negative spin put on his time in boxing.

I never could understand the haters, whether their object was Delahoya, Mayweather, Calzaghe, Lewis, the Klitschkos or even Ali (who, in his day had more than most).

Happy and well ballanced folks have no need of such horse****.

It points to a pathetic and unfulfilled little existence when you feel the need resort to spewing out vitriol.

Makes me wonder how you'd pick if you had a choice where you could be Oscar or go on being DobyZhee.

DLH's ascent to the status of #1 fighter in the world was quite magnificent. And, in many ways, the fact that he managed to postpone his ineviable demise for as long as he did was just as impressive.

When he was roughed up a bit by a John John Molina, people thought he was overrated, and thought that Rafael Ruelas might be able to do the same thing and expose DLH. He didn't. Neither did Genero Hernandez nor Jesse James Leija, nor Julio Cesar Chavez or Miguel Angel Gonzalez.

Pernell Whitaker summoned up one final great performance against DLH, but the Golden Boy stayed more or less even with him throughout, and got the decision. Trinidad got the nod over the Golden Boy, but the perception was that was due more to DLH's fade rather than due to anything that Tito did in the fight. Mosely got the decision, but had to produce a career-best performance to do it.

And then he came back to defeat a larger, stronger, younger Vargas.

The losses came a bit more frequently after that...to Mosley in the rematch...some would say to Sturm...and to Hopkins.

Even after the Hopkins fight, DLH found a way to remain viable by torching Mayorga, and staying with Floyd Mayweather.

His many detractors called him overrated...

But, it took 16 years for him to be..."exposed".

And there just aren't that many fighters in history who can say that.

Yup, and it was fitting for One legend to be overtaken by another.

0.5 percent of aquiring HIV through vaginal contact. That's the same percentage of real mexicans who respect ODLH and accept him as their own.:deal

Let's be honest about Tito Ortiz and anybody else who sports their heritage over the American flag during a fight. They are only doing it to market their nationality for money. I honestly think its a slap in the face for anybody who lives on our soil to put their flag of heritage over the one that you swore allegiance to.
