What next for Jean Pascal?

I have almost no doubt that Andrade would stop Pascal. Pascal would still think that HE can ko him and would get exausted pretty fast, Andrade will not get tired and will stop him in the mid-late rounds.

 

Miranda or Zuniga would be perfect. There was a lot of heat between Pascal and Miranda a while back. Pascal and Zuniga were suppose to have a go for the WBO title, but that never came off. Both guys have recent failed attempts to capture a world title, so that one would make sense.

Pascal does not need any Manfredo types.

Pascal took all all easy fights like Omar Pittman and Brian Norman until he got a title shot. Pascal shouldn't bother "with the likes of Miranda or Zuniga." Miranda and Zuniga are more proven than Pascal is. Pascal only fought one World Class fighter and he lost.

 

Yes I agree that Pascal should take on Miranda (but I think he makes his comeback at 175?) or Zuniga.

 

Miranda has yet to beat a top 50 SMW and Zuniga has beaten Oganov. Pascal should have raised his stock with his performance last night enough to get another fight with a top ten fighter. He should do that.

What's contraversial about any of that?

 

Lets be real. Prior to this fight the best guy that Pascal had ever fought was that guy he fought on the undrecard of the miranda Banks fight (sorry Kinglsey Ikeke just showed up for the pay check). Injuries have impeded his development and forced him to go for a title too soon.

You are right that he is better then the Zuniga's and the Miranda's and the Manfredo's of the division. But fact is any of those guys would be the second best opponent he's ever faced. Frankly, in order to ensure he get the development he should have got before he needs to face at ideally two of these type guys and then an and Andrade or Inkin type fighter before he's ready to do more then just put up a good fight against the top dawgs. Honestly, with his talent if he's brought along in this way (a.k.a. the right way) then he'd come back and put a beating on Bute and Froch.

P.S. I think JT puts beating on Froch in his next fight so it doesn't much matter.

 

You are talking like Pascal is too good or highly ranked to even 'bother with Miranda or Zuniga'.

Pascal hasn't fogught anyone, that is pretty ridiculous to claim he is above those fighters to even fight them.

Carl Froch would be totally dominated by Kessler and Taylor. And he would most likely lose to Bute as well. Losing to Froch in an exciting brawl, dont raise Pascal over other SMW contenders.

pascals was very very quick and determined with a super chin of his own at 26 he'l defo come agen by 2010. froch is the man overproven chin I always backed him I think he takes out taylor and dennis inkin kessler will be the decider and hard but remember ppl kessler gets tired froch does not he tries to take u out even in the 12th. and he cant hold a bodyshot or head shot like carl can remember the calzaghe fight so dnt hype kessler to much and froch's uppercuts if landed on joe would take him out unlike mikkel's I think that was fight of the year though defo froch can box better than that the nerves made him scrap the game plan to excite the fans an probs stuck his chin on the line a few times jus 4 good tv juicey measure. for trentch warefars sake. he has better reflexes than that as if watch properly he used now and again to make pascal miss his cricket bowling punches making him spin 360 degress plus was snapping the jab on pascal froch can box as he showed late to seal the deal but as a relitively unknown fighter he had to make an impression an have an exciting thhriller which was fight of the year brit wise. he took jean to deep waters an pascal faded an froch kept it going and initiated most trade offs for bombs away. taylor cant hurt kassim ouma or cory spinks who i think outpointed him and the same man who detonated him is the same man who got out speeded by a 44 yr old. froch is faster than hopkins and hits harder than pavlik hel stretch bute he'l dismantle miranda look at maranda vs pavlik says it all.

We're talking about who he should fight next.

IMO he should get back on the bike and fight a top ten fighter, and Andrade would be a great fight. Last nights fight raising his profile + the backing he has may make that kind of fight possible. In which case he should definately go for that rather than an easier fight against a less rated fighter.
