Irrelevant to this discussion, but Manny is a great fighter. Just one who won't be competitive at 147.

I think he would have a great chance against Floyd at Welterweight, but Floyd will just duck him. Manny needs to go retire Hatton.

yeah, pac-man is not a ww so he really has no business there unless he wants to fight mayweather, who himself is not a natural welter.

It looks like Manny would be competitive even at 147 against some of the top fighters. But he would be best served to have Mayweather come down to a lower catchweight if they fight. Maybe 142, since no title would be on the line anyway. I wonder if PBF can make that weight.

He has a good chance to beat even the improved Hatton, but that should be a good battle.

Pacquiao beating Mayweather will never be anything more than a fantasy for anyone. Mayweather shuts the smaller Pacquiao down and dismantles him all night long. If this fight happens, I bet heavily on Mayweather.

I kinda agree. Im one of the few who thinks that Floyd never comes out of retirement. And as for Hatton, he'll get beaten but not retired

I agree with some of the things you are saying, but at the same time you are acting like Pac winning isn't that big of a deal. Here are some quotes of you on this forum.

"I'm not a believer in that Pacquiao has a chance, but I still think that for as long as it lasts, it'll be a entertaining fight."

"If Pacquiao makes a fight of it tomorrow, I think my appreciation will have grown. If he gets past the 5-6th round, he would have proved me wrong."

"If Pacquiao makes this competitive for longer than 4 rounds, not only am I wrong, but it's quite an accomplishment. This fight isn't easy to predict just because Oscar has a size advantage but he has an advantage in talent also."

"If Pacquiao knocks Oscar out, that is a bigger upset than Douglas vs Tyson as far as I'm concerned."

"What I will say is, if Oscar loses this fight and by stoppage, that isn't just a greater upset than Douglas/Tyson, but probably the most shocking result in all of Boxing History. When you consider the size disparity, Oscar's punch resistance, and Manny being knocked out at lower weights, it would be unbelievable to think Pacquiao wins and by knockout."

Now I agree with you that Marg would beat Pac, but I also think that the biggest question about last night didn't get answered. That question being weather Pac can take a good shot from a fighter that big. Oscar never landed a punch clean and strong enough to answer that question. I would like to see Pac fight Hatton. If he gets passed Hatton I think he could beat about everyone at 140, and be competitive with most at 147. I think he would even have a chance at PBF. I think the only people almost guaranteed to beet him at 147 would be Marg, and Williams.

The reason I quoted you is because I don't think you are giving Pac his credit. You are attributing everything to how bad Oscar was, and I think Oscar would have looked decent against most welterweights, and it was Pac who exposed Oscar. Not Oscar giving away the fight.

Before I make a stupid comment about Pac Beating PBF I went to youtube to watch PBF againts DLH, Jesus Chaves, Zab Judah, Hatton and Castillio. I think Pacman has a great shot of beating PBF. Dont get me wrong I think PBF is the complete fighter but being the best boxer dosent always mean your the best fighter.

You're right, I forgot mayweather is unbeatable. I know you can't generally use a common opponent as reasoning for a matchup, but Floyd didn't exactly blow Oscar out of the water. Pacman, however, retired him. For you to not even give Pac a chance against Mayweather, who has been inactive for a lengthy time, is rediculous.

Also, I have not seen anyone saying Pac could beat Margarito, Cotto, Citron, etc. All I've seen people say is that he could fight Floyd as both he and Pacman arent true WWs.
