Does anyone agree with me on this. All the interviews I have seen of Hatton post fight have given me the impression Hatton really really wanted Hoya and might try to fight JMM instead. Mayweather took his dream fight with Gatti away from him and now Pac has taken the DLH fight away from Hatton. Hatton should look at this fight as another oppourtunity to fight the no. 1 p4p fighter and redeem him self.
Even before the fight Team Hatton and Ricky himself indicated quite a few times that they favored Pacquiao.
Nope, bollox :nono Hatton said before the fight he wanted to be able to fight Pac as he is regarded as the number 1 pound for pound fighter in the world.
If that is true then I respect Hatton a lot more than before. He would rather fight the P4P #1 again instead of take a giant payday with Oscar? Kudos!
Hatton wanted to fight Oscar. I'm sure he believed, just like everyone else, that Oscar would KO pacman. He wanted an 8 figure payday.
During the fight on SKY Hatton said he was emabarassed for Oscar and that the fight was embarassing to watch. . In other words he thinks he could do a much better job.
Most people on here thought the same, it was quite sad to see someone like DLH fight in such a way, witout heart. Does that mean that we feel we could do much better?
This is not about Hatton feeling "sad" for Oscar. Hatton basically said that Oscars performance was a joke and obviously believed he could do much better.
Hatton knows its the only logical fight for him. He might have been in a bad mood when they interviewed him knowing he aint fighting DLH for bigger money.
After seeing Pac fight last night, nobody (other than JMM) would be thrilled to fight him. Especially not Hatton. But he will anyway for one last big payday. And he will get KO'd inside 4 rounds and retire a happy rich man.
