Given the manner of victory, the pre-fight expectations, the weight difference etc which fight in recent memory eclipsed Pac's effort on saturday?

It's the greatest upset of all time. None that I can't think of, so far.

It definatly was a great victory and I will totally admitt that I did not see it coming. I am a huge DLH fan; but I told everyone I know who likes boxing before the fight that if DLH doesn't throw any punches then he will lose and that it will be bad. Pacman trained hard for the fight and it showed in the beating. Congrats Pacman. DLH should retire. He had a great career; but fighters getting old overnight happens to everyone. It will happen to Pacman someday too.

Holyfield Tyson 1 was '98, I thought? Hmmm......

Edit: I'll be goddamned, that was '96. I'm old.

I would say Buster Douglas vs Tyson was a bigger upset

Considering the betting odds at fight time were around +140 on Pac and -170 on Oscar, it is the greatest upset since Martin Rogan went off at 7 to 2 to beat Audley Harrison about 4 hours earlier.

This is unbelievable. Pac beating Oscar is not the biggest upset since Tyson-Holyfield or since Tyson-Douglas.

From a betting perspective the fight went off at around 1.5 to 1. When you go up to 5 people and 2 of them think Pacquiao will win and 3 of them dont', that does not make it the greatest upset in history.

Look at the ESPN poll for the fight: 30,000 votes, 50% said Oscar would win, 46% said Pacquiao would win, 4% said a draw

I'm not saying it isn't a great career accomplishment. It is. Here is a fighter who started at 106 pounds who has worked himself up to fighting and beating a top 5 154 pounder. But, it is not the greatest upset of all time or even in recent history. It isn't even the greatest upset this year.
