Okay im not saying Oscar would have won at this stage of his career but after watching the fight again i think Nacho could have done more to spark a fire in Oscar to get him to give his all. Nacho was simply giving boxing advice and while good advice it was irrelevant because Oscar ignored it anyway. Nacho was to quiet and lax in my opinion. Floyd Sr - GODDAMIT OCSA THROW YO MOTHA****ING JAB!! YOU GOTTA MAKE THIS MUTHA****A RESPECT YOU!! LET YO HANDS GO!! All while yelling and swinging his arms around and animated. i think in a fight like that emotional charge is more important then just the advice hes already been given. He needed to wake up and throw and give his all to even have a chance.
I just think it could have resulted in alittle competitiveness at least in spurts in any. Oscar could have went balls out if he had the fire.
I don't think it makes much a difference at this age but something inside me says it should be ILLEGAL for Oscar to ever fight anyone without Mayweather Sr. in his corner.
I don't think it would have made a difference. DLH could not pull the trigger just like Roach said. He's gone two fights to far, the writing was on the wall with Forbes and Pacman finished him. Like DLH himself said in the postfight interview. His heart still wants to fight but physically he can't. I give him props for carrying on as it should have been stopped in round 7.
u give him props for waiting 2 rds to quit? i lost all respect for him he doesnt wana fight he just wants to get paid hes a sad excuse for a fighter and he couldnt pull the trigger because manny was nailing him with the left every chance
Floyd Senior would have either gotten MORE out of Oscar or would have angrily parted ways like he did with a lazy Chad Dawson. I agree that Oscar would have done better. We're talking about DLH going from being COMPETATIVE with Bernard Hopkins to not caring or giving a **** with Pac/Nacho. Age is not the only factor in this...
