Freddie Roach: No Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather, Jr. at 147 pounds

Well, I mean although Pac showed up in a big way against DLH, it looked to me like Oscar was a slow, old mummy in there...cant tell if it was because Pac made him look that way or if his age/career has finally caught up with him. So since Roach said he knew Oscar was shot, he probably thinks a young vibrant Marg would run through Pac...even though im not so sure of that. That is THE fight to be made sans Floyd/Pac.

Yea, they actually coined a new medical term known as "Pugilistic Parkinsons", the most notable person to have it being Muhammad Ali. They used to say Ali didn't get his condition from boxing because Parkinson's is a separate affliction until more research showed that many blows to the head can cause it as well.

 

That's where the term appropriately be dubbed Mayweather "EXPOSED"...

 

at 140 Floyd just might get KTFO

 

Weight doesn't matter in the case of Mayweather v Pacquiao because they both are in great shape and can make a few different weight classes easily.

I doubt that Hatton wouldve been any better at 140 than he was at 147 and I feel the same way about Pacquiao.

He just demolished DLH at 147 and who's to say that wasn't to his advantage ... when DLH fought Floyd it was at 154 a weight that PBF had never campaigned at before.

Roach cannot beat Mayweather on his own and if the fight was in serious talks and they could persuade Mayweather to come out of retirement, then just prepare Pacquiao the best way you can, come up with a game plan and make things happen.

I don't think Roach has a chance and can't match minds with Roger Mayweather ... Roger Mayweather has experience on the championship level as a fighter and as a trainer.

 

Pac holds a very good stylistic advantage over Hatton. I think Pac destroys Hatton and soon as he does, Hatton will be "shot".

 

Come in at a weight that you feel comfortable at ... its not like Pacquiao had trouble making 147, hell he made that weight easily and come in a few pounds under the limit ... the same with Hatton ... Hatton came in under the limit and still got his ass knocked out.

 

Pac weighed in at 141...1 more lb and he would be 140lb JWW. If he beats Hatton, he just KTFO dela hoya, is the current p4p #1 and most exciting fighter in the world...he's in the position to demand what weight they fight at. PBF made Hatton come up, Pac will make Floyd come down.

A catch weight of 143 would be fair...or perhaps a fight at 140lb for the Lineal & Ring belt. 140 crown is the only division PBF missed out fighting a great fighter in, he can finally do it with Pac.

 

If they want the linear 140lb title on the line, one of them would have to beat Hatton first!!

 

different styles in both the fights.....Pac was and is aggresssive floyd however is not hence the outcomes Floyd went 12 and a split due to his non aggressive style made the fight slow and allowed Oscar to score Pac was all over Oscar and embarrasd Oscar with his speed and consistant attack.

Different styles different outcomes...solid victories for both.

If Manny fought Floyd at 140, Floyd would beat him worse than he would at 147. He is a harder puncher in the lower weights.

I'm not a Floyd fan but I don't believe it was the same Oscar in there. Floyd fought him at his natural weight in addition, he looked drained against Pac.

 

Please, he's not mentally unstable. He has parkinsons, which affects your MOTOR SKILLS, not your mind. His mind is still very sharp.
