please boxing needs this fight this match up would be a superfight and an explosion its the best fight that can happen in the sport at present at light welterweight it would be a ******* as a die hard hatton follower, ino it would be an amazing fight and a very tough one for the hitman but at lgiht welter hes a hard hard man to beat this would be huge please top rank and hatton get this on!
I would say Pac vs Mayweather is a much better fight and would do better PPV numbers and in turn be better for boxing, former p4p best vs the man who now holds his title. Unfortunately in North America, to the casual fan, Hatton is just that British guy who Mayweather beat up. No doubt the live gate of a Pac vs Hatton fight in england would surpass the live gate of mayweather vs pac in the states but there ain't enough people in England to make this fight bigger than Mayweather vs Pac in PPV numbers and total revenue and there wouldn't be much interest in this fight in North America unfortunately.
you know what's ironic? oscar - hatton wasn't talked about after hatton - floyd because of how badly hatton got beaten. now that oscar's been spanked by pacman, hatton-oscar just doesn't have the edge to it either, does it?
Oh god i can just see the Golden boy board room meeting with shaefer probably saying "The Grand Finale De la Hoya vs Hatton live at Wembley Stadium. 100,000 paying customer's, PPV $99 (well it's his last fight, no one get's to see him again so the mug's wont mind stumping up a bit extra will they)". Hatton pac will no doubt happen. I am a bit worried by Floyd Sr saying he would prefer to have another fight or two with Hatton to get used to him before they face Pac. Understandable from his position but that could push the fight back to ****ing 2010. I want to see Hatton-Pac this spring and hopefully Pac wins it so that would set up Pac-PBF for fall 2009
