He was on the undercard of the De La Hoya vs Manny Pacquiao event, and he lost to a pretty good fighter. He's 21 years of age, and from Puerto Rico.

Even in defeat, I was relatively impressed with the young kid. He had a pretty good defense, much like Clottey and Wright, holding his hands up high and at all times. However, he still get hit quite a lot and instead of coming back with counter hooks, he waited for the opponent to stop throwing. He would become explosive in parts, and put together impressive 3-4 punch combinations, which looked to have a lot of snap. i was impressed with his defence, his combinations, and his coolness in the ring.

Obviously, he can't and shouldn't be losing if he plans to make some noise in the future. However, there is a lot of talent there and if he irons up his mistakes, and becomes more focused on teh night, I think he, along with Ortiz and Lopez, can be the future of the sport.

    Any opinions on Jesus Rojas?

Does he have the potential? Maybe, and thats a big maybe. He got knocked out in round two to a 'average at best' fighter. He defeinetly has a lot to work on, but he's only 21, who know's. We may see more of him in a couple years.

Jesus Rojas was undefeated going into the fight, with 10 KO's in 13 fights. He has never been stopped.
