Best P4P fighter in the world right now? (forget the BS "retirement")

    Floyd is officially retired, and even if he makes a comeback, he doesn't automatically slot back into the mix.

    Manny Pacquiao, with a close runner-up in Juan Manuel Marquez. We all have our ow criteria, and I mainly base my ratings off of talent.

    I had pac to be #1 even when mayweather was still active.

    What the hell are you talking about?

    The thread is entitled; "Who is the best P4P fighter on the planet". This can only possibly be referring to active fighters.

    Floyd retired, and in doing so, also retired his p4p rating.

    Manny is your answer.

    I have had Manny Pacquiao #1 for a long time, but in reality they are tied, both pick shot fighters to fight, Much like Floyd fighting Gatti, Manny has had his share of them, Morales Barrera and DLH.

    The difference in it and I think this is what gives manny the edge is he destroys those guys while Floyd does his typical saftey first kind of ****. Manny is the Number 1 P4P fighter in the world with Floyd or with out him.

    absolutely. and on top of that, Floyd is an ATG cherry picker.

    Same as. Floyd dropped off the top by taking money fights rather than fighting the best in each division. He woould probably have won all of them but the fact he avoided them for an easier payday means he is and was below Pac on my p4p list

    Okay...I was more clear about this in the original version I typed up, which got lost in cyber space. Let me clarify--who is better, Pac or Manny? In a P4P sense? RIGHT NOW!

    I don't give a flying **** if Floyd is 'retired', for only a complete and total moron would buy into that gimmick as if it were real. So get off your high horse, stop being obtuse, and answer the ****ing question.

    Technically TS has a point; skill wise, you would have to think that Mayweather is still a contender for best fighter on the planet (P-4-P); he hasn't been retired long, and there is a good chance of a comeback; officially he is retired, but TS, going by his wording, still has the right to ask the question.

    I reckon that TS is just playing Devil's Advocate on this one; wants to stoke the coals a bit; thats his prerogative.

    I wouldnt say Floyd picks fighters he knows has no shot against him, but definately not dangerous fights.

    The only difference is Pac has losses on his record and Floyd doesnt
