  1. Hey guys,

Now I'd rather people not label me a 'nuthugger' but I've been following Froch for a while now and I have to say

"Kessler is a wonderful fighter, but a little one dimensional / mechanical. I say this as a Kessler fan, but all things considered his stock has risen massively since the Calzaghe fight and i'm at a loss to understand why.

Calzaghe has been the distance for the last 4 years (apart from manfredo) and what did Kessler do in that fight that previous fighter's couldn't ?

I thought Kessler would have possibly upset the script against Joe, with his ko record and attitude - but frankly for the last couple of fights he has fought bums through CHOICE.

I hear he is fighting Berrio or Manfredo next. . . I kid you not.

It would seem he is happy carving out a big chunk of money fighting winnable fights rather than take risks again.

Here is a little fact for you too:-

When Inkin pulled out in march 08, Hennessy contacted Kessler's handlers (morgans palle) and tried to get a date fixed up with him in May 08.

The WBC were contacted and they sanctioned Mikkel as a worthy substitute for Inkin - Morgans Palle would not even get talks off the ground with Hennessy and insisted they were now looked at the vacant Light heavyweight title with the WBA.

You could say im talking nonsense or making it up - but why would I ?

The fact remains Kessler fought bums this year and will fight bums again next year.

Froch will ask for Taylor, Murat and then either Pavlik or Abraham as Kessler isn't interested"

What I love about this guy most of all is the fact he is going for names. Sure he may lose but he is chasing them. We as fans should get behind that don't you guys think so? It's so refreshing to find a boxer that chases competitive fights! :tong

That sounds like horse **** to me.

Froch has been talking a lot recently, of all the fighters in the division he has been most respectful about Kessler's abilities. Almost as if he accepts thats a really tough fight, despite his arrogance.

You can guaran-dam-tee if this was really the case Froch would be shouting it from the rooftops. He already talks about how the European champ ducked him, how Inkin pulled out twice ducking him, how Taylor is scared etc.

    Does not add up.

for the first time we are in agreement.

original post is a load of tripe.

    you even have to say

"you could say i'm talking nonsense or making it up - but why would i?".

as soon as you put that in your post you're reaching for straws.

  4. dont forget joe ducking him when he was the most deserving challenger.

Just like I don't have patience for some of yours. You might think his is nonsense just like I think yours are, its all about opinions.

But ultimately, you are a hypocrite. But you know, thats fine. For people that come talking about boxing if they can't take a few harsh words they are pussies.

Froch is 31 and the fight with Pascal is the first time he has ever stepped up to world level. he has not even been fighting fringe contenders, it has been British/European level fighters at best with a shot Reid as the biggest name. He was a lucky boy to get a world title shot.

What did he bring before saturday night to make him a possible opponent for the top guys at 168? With his power, chin and reach he was always going to be a high risk low reward fight. Now he has a bargaining tool and some exposure to the world wide market he can call out and geuninely expect to get the big fights.

What would it have gained Kessler, at the time withut a belt to fight an entirely unproven guy in Froch?

Load of bull****, would Team Palle pass on a ridiculous offer? Perhaps, but Kessler would love the opportunity to dissect Froch and pick him apart with relative ease.

Kessler would make Froch his *****.

I'll agree with the Reid and Hopkins cards.

Kessler is a good fighter, who will alwas lose to the elite of his generation.

This doesn't add up ... after watching Froch fight Pascal, I am sure guys like Taylor and Kessler are licking their chops ..... man with hands kept that low, and with grab jabs and righthands off of the jab (which Kessler and Taylor have ) ... why wouldn't they want this fight

Froch is callling Kessler one dimensional. Froch blocks punches with his face, and is slow.
