He did and he had some fights on ITV like Lacy. ITV is the best place to be for building your name, Setanta 2nd.

They obviously make a profit out of it, so they'll continue.

Well because if ur not a tight arse and are prepared to pay their monthly subs you get a half decent sports channel with top class british and international boxing events thrown in. I feel I have got great value for money with the fights they have put on this year...Plus their subs numbers are increasing all the time. Steve Bunce and his 'boxing hour' has also increased the profile of the sport, he always mentions 'other' channels when he talks about fighters which is something none of the others would ever do.

I would put Setanta above ITV purely because fights on Setanta are almost always high profile.

Don't you get Setanta free if you are on Virgin Media?

Im a big fan of setanta but i really dont understand why they charge a subscription fee, admittedly they do show a lot of live events but its not exactly the greatest coverage, they are definately behind Sky on that department. What ever happenend to SKY showing fights without charge? and i dont mean FFN i mean when they uses to broadcast fight free of charge in the early hours.

I have Setanta and the boxing just gets better and better. It's also cheaper than Sky sports without having to pay PPV as well!

    Yes to your first question

Setanta only charge a small fee in comparison to Sky... they have delivered big time on the boxing front this year, hats off to them

What are you completely stupid? Good luck with the Game of Life if charging money for services confuses you.

On Sunday I was watching the Sky Sports News and on boxing they didn't even mention Froch's fantastic win for a real world title. Sports news and no coverage of a British fighter winning a fight of the year in a real contest - shame.

Still, the Buncemeister always makes an effort to mention 5Live or ITV or even Sky on Setanta - but then again Buncey always has to keep all the press and media happy as he's on or has been in most of them.

I know, it's a disgrace. You watch, before long they'll be charging for essentials like food, electricity, drugs, beer etc, etc.

That's ripoff Britain for you. Everything's free in the USA. And China (I think).

Well what I fail to understand is that Setanta is free on Virgin Media and yet on Sky you have to pay a subscription fee. Sky also charge about £15 for PPV which is a joke when you pay that for one night whereas you pay that for Setanta and you get a whole month of viewing which has a lot of boxing action.
