Who would you give mayweather more respect for fighting: Pac or Margarito

The bigger challenge is Margo so Floyd might not fight him...to be fair Margos is a JMW

Floyd wont be able to resist PAC. PAcs legacy is set if he beats Hatton..he will be up in the stratosphere as far as greatness is concerned.

Floyd will try to steal that glory from PAc..and knowing his size and supposed style advantage, he'll seize the moment

Manny. With the exception of earning a BIG paycheck!!!

 

I expect him to beat either. Its hard to say, with Margo its most certainly a UD and a lot of running. With Pacman he might get a TKO if he is really pushed and has to go that route. In that case if he takes Pac apart like that it will be more impressive then a cautious fight with Margo.


All the money is in the pac fight and thats the one he will take.

If he does too well then he might not get enough credit and people will say Oscar was shot and PBF was just too big for Pac blah blah. If pacman fights Hatton first and wins against him real well then PBF beats pacman, he will get the most credit that way.

 

mayweather might trade blows with pac a little but margarito would be like delahoya mayweather

 

If Pacman beats Hatton (who is coming off of a TKO win) and does so in convincing fashion, then that establishes Pac as a legit 140-147 fighter, so in that case credit is due to mayweather for beating him. Mayweather himself is a small 147 guy so its fair for him to fight pacman if he chooses.

 

Why does Margo get credit wanting to fight the superior smaller man in Floyd but Floyds gets hugely discredited when a fight of him vs Pacquaio is even mentioned.

 

well it has to do witht he fact that margo is not the p4p 1 fighter in the world. but you do have a point though.

 

I think at this point Mayweather MUST fight pac...to cement his legacy rather than speculate about it in a much similar Calzaghe fashion (not saying they're accomplishments are the same...im comparing the distaste for the HUGE amount of potential and lack of big fights)

But the respect would come from beating Margarito...if he KO'd him...wow...that would make a HUGE claim for ATG and prolly surpasses anything Pac has done...

I'd be of the same opinion. I think Cotto would be a far harder fight for Floyd than Margo would. But Margo is the one who deserves it more at this stage.

 

Preferably, Pacquiao takes on Hatton and Mayweather takes on Margarito. If they both get through it will set up a super fight. It's not often you get two P4P elites who are also ATG's, in their primes fighting around the same weight. For that reason, Mayweather/Pacquiao is a far more significant fight. The size difference is a non-issue now, the fight will be based on skill and will.

 

After what happened on saturday, Pacquiao is the better fight i guess. Its a bigger event and has a storyline leading up to it. Margo would be good to but there is something special about Pacquiao-Mayweather

Margo deserves to get his ***** ass BACK in the ****ing ring and PROVE he is the best WW right now. There is still someone out there who beat him just last year. But amnesia is a mother****er, huh?
