great fight although to be honest on another post someone mentioned Cotto vs. Pacman. That fight there is a great matchup. Better than a Mayweather fight, who would fight to win a decision. Cotto will come to fight. And Cotto is a better fighter than David Diaz and this time that is the difference. Against Oscar Pacman was faster, but Cotto in my mind will not be a shellacking. Cotto will make it a fight. .

Why would mayweather fight to get a decision, floyd is quite a bit bigger naturally than pacquiao. Sure when floyd fighting the likes of oscar, baldomir etc he fights conservatively and defensively but when he was fighting hatton for instance as he was naturally bigger he was far more offensive.

Mayweather would beat pac comfortably IMO. Styles wise mayweather would be a nightmare for somelike pac, pac defence though improved is pretty leaky as you could see when he fought marquez, a super accurate counter puncher like PBF would be in his element.

Then when you take into account floyd got great defence and wouldn't be a punch bag like oscar and can neutralize pac speed with his own. Styles make fights and pac is tailor made for PBF, no matter how great pac looked against oscar

Has Mayweather ever really gone for a knockout? I mean the Hatton knockout was a check left. When it comes it comes, but it does not happen too often where he looks for knockouts since when you look you open yourself up..
I did not say Mayweather would not win, I think he would. I just do not think he would try for a knockout, that would go against the gameplan he would probably have.

Mayweather possibly fighting a smaller opponent is a sissy and a ***** but Margarito who made a career fighting smaller guys is a legacy seeking mammoth.

Look at floyd at 130-140, he tried to knock out pretty much every fighter he fought at them weights apart from castillo. Well you could argue corrales as he boxed a lot on the backfoot until he had him in trouble bt i thik his game plan was to take diego late like he did

Sure pac would be better than anyone he fought there and im not saying he would come out gung ho swinging like an idiot but he will open up a hell of a lot more than he did against oscar for instance and i think look to attack and take advnatage of pacquaio slightly leaky defence

Its cause Mayweather was P4P 1... but wait! Isn't Manny P4P 1 now? And mayweathers off the charts, shouldn't he challenged the p4p number 1

“Imagine, I did 2,500 sit-ups a day so I didn’t have to worry about my body. De la Hoya worried about both his head and body. That’s why he looked so scared each time I hit him. I heard him moan after I hit him once in the body,” Pacquiao remembered.

“I’ve jumped and fought in three weight divisions this year,” he said, reminding everyone that last March he also defeated Marquez for the WBC super-featherweight (130 lbs) title.
Pacquiao said that after the fight, he received a phone call from Diaz, and he was surprised with what he said.
“Oh, man. You’re unbelievable. What kind of human (being) are you. You were so fast,” Pacquiao remembered Diaz as telling him.

2,500 sit ups a day?! That's ****ing crazy. Manny is a beast.

I still think Margo is too big and too strong for floyd. But, a fight with Pacman would be dandy! I feel like a kid at a candy store! This has to be the fight of the new millenium!

pbf will not go toe to toe with pac in a brawl. he should just stay retired, there's nothing left to conquer.

Pac vs Hatton makes more sense

Floyd vs Margo makes more sense

after Hatton, Pac can give JMM his third chance.

Floyd should be Pac's last option. it should be at 140lbs. for Pac to gain leverage.
