Calzaghe really doesn't have anyone else to fight. Fighting Dawson proves what? Dawson is not proven yet so if he beats Dawson, then all of us and sportswriters say Dawson was not what they thought. Then it will take years for Dawson to prove he was the real thing by fighting in the division for years, just so Calzaghe can say he beat a good fighter when he was not ready yet.

Who the hell is left, anyway? A rematch with Bernard would be interesting. But, probably would end up the same way again with him winning. Sheesh. Poor calzaghe. If he didn't stay in England so long, who the hell knows what would of happened?:huh

Boxing wont miss Joe. Neither will history be kind to him when all is said and done. A marvelous talent in his prime but nothing more than a shrewd opportunist. He was our very own Sven Ottke.

If calzaghe does'nt give Hopkins the rematch he deserves then, well **** him!

If you fight Bernard Hopkins to an SD, then he beats the **** out of Kelly Pavlik you give the man a rematch.

    Bernard deserves a rematch!

Why would Joe do that and loose face? Joe isnt the type of fighter who has taken ANY risks in his career. The only thing that has ever mattered to him was easy money, the WBO, and his precious "0".

    Exactly.

He's afraid of giving Bernard a rematch.

Anyway imo Hopkins is still the man at 175 and Calzaghe lost his 0.

It pisses me off that he's going to retire when he has unfinished business with Hopkins.

Calzaghe, though, said: "Carl who? Who's that guy?"

The boxer you are on video speaking to on the phone Joe - before the RJJ fight. Where you stated that the money was all that was important to you in boxing.

Do we really want another dull fight between Hopkins and JC.

Hopkins had his chance and decided to spoil, hold, fake low blows, basically destroy the fight as a spectacle. He was a disgrace to the sport in that match, but for some reason he gets a pass for it, mostly because of his age. It is double standards when you compare it to the criticism that Ruiz/Hatton etc get for their tactics.

If he had actually tried to win the fight instead of steal it then a rematch would be in order.

Tiresome, Completely, i just had enough of hearing all about him! this is boxing not a tv soap, keeping everyone guessing what hes going to do next, and giving excuses about why he didnt fight so and so, and why hes the best! hey, im not a calzaghe hater but lets move on with people who are the future of the sport and who want to set big mega fights, for our enjoyment!

And if he does retire, i just really hope he doesnt make a comeback because in my opinion thats just to make himself more attention and add to the £££££££!
