Its said today on a news channel that the figther Team palle is trying to get as kessler next fight is Wright and that they are talking to golden boy promotion.
Wright should be willing to do the Fight...

Is this the same 37 year old middleweight Wright who hasn't been near a ring for 18 months....if so :-(

The more I think about it, the more I think Wright could be better off at 168. This would be a very good fight. Kessler would be the favorite I'm sure, but Wright would give him a tough fight.

good match up for both fighters. kessler needs a big name and a wright win would set bring him back up to where he was before the hopkins loss. kessler by UD

HBO has already offered Wright this fight twice and he's turned it down. Now that there is really nothing out there for him - he's decided that it's probably the best option he has. This time it seems like it's really going to happen.

Good fight for both guys but Kessler might be a little too big and too young for Winky.

Kessler should try to unify at 168, he is one of the most talented fighters around and this Winky fight is a waste of time IMO, I would rather see him fight Jermain Taylor in his first fight on U.S. soil.

Given the position Palle is in, Wright sounds reasonable.

Me to but i.l guess we have to be patient. Not sure Taylor and Bute wants to fight Kessler next. Simply not in there gameplan. But if Kessler could be successful i 2-3 fights in US, the demand and the money will be right to some big events :bbb.

On paper this is another somewhat disappointing choice by team Palle for Kessler, given that Winky is 37 and hasn't been in the ring in a year and a half... not to mention he had to back out of his tune up fight scheduled for last week because an injury during training. Add to the fact that Winky's best weight is 14 lbs under 168, and this just looks like a desparate PR move by Kessler's people.

All that said, if Winky shows up, I can see him giving Kessler problems. I'd pick Kess to win, but it's not an "easy" win, and looking good will in winning will not be easy either.

    Are you shitting me?

Wright is a natural 154 lber, who is old, past it, has been out one and a half years, and showed in his last fight that he cannot handle the extra weight.

This is cherry picking at its finest. :deal

    Some people are never satisfied!

Please name me another american based fighter who would be a better opponent for Kessler at 168?

Besides Taylor who has turned down a fight with Kessler at this point.

If Kessler cant land a fight with Froch, Taylor, Bute or Hopkins next, then is Wright a great opponent!
