Yes it's daft, I think Margarito and Williams are the only fighters at welter he can't handle.

Well he quit.. and people aren't going to be as afraid of him when they fight. Maybe forcing him into adversity quickly.

Before Cotto/Margarito my top 3 current favorites were Pavlik, Cotto, and Margarito in that order. After Cotto/Margarito I just switched Tony and Miquel. I am really looking forward to February 28th. Two of my boys coming back with something to prove!!

I dont think anyone is saying Cotto is garbage, but its rediculous even thinking that Pac can compete with Cotto. Roack said it himself "Pac WILL NOT fight Paul Williams, Antonio Margarito, or Cotto at 147".

Cotto is dangerous, I haven't seen all of Margos fights, but I just saw the Santos one on you tube. Even though Margo beat Cotto I have never seen Margos face that swollen, and Margo has faced some big hitters.

I don't think anyone forgot that Cotto is a dangerous and skilled Boxer....but his hype train had just been derailed a bit after his loss. Cotto is a great boxer he just has some flaws that were put on "front Street" when he took on Marg. He'll grab a title or two on his way back to the top of the mountain....he'll just have his nemissis like all the greats had before him...his nemisis is of course his conqueror Antonio Margarito.

PAC could very well survive Cotto at 140.....147, eh..maybe. PAC is not a WW but to dismiss PAC is as absurd as it is to dismiss Cotto.

He didn't quit....Cotto just needed some breathing room from all the punches he was eating. Marg was relentless when he knew Cotto mentally broke down. As an undefeated fighter at the time he was being drowned by Marg towards the later rounds of their fight and it was a new experience he couldn't overcome. He now has that experience....the question now is did the loss affect Cotto mentaly and did the damage he suffered at the hands of Marg take a toll?

You're dismissing PAC prematurely! Cotto is a good fighter but PAC is definitley on anther level...unfortunately PAC is a smaller fighter who has success moving up b/c of his talents, improved skills and unreal work ethic. PAC's power and speed remain in tact which in a fight with Cotto would be big problems....the pressure and pace that PAC would definitley set would be a lot for anyone to keep up with...the big question would be how does PAC take a true WW's punch? I have no idea but overall PAC is a better fighter.
