No Joke, I just feel Margarito would be able to live with Hearn's and give him a good fight.

You asked if Danny Perez was really that big a difference from Hearns. The difference is monumental.

It's just an opinion Tito4eva, if everybody shared your opinion there wouldn't be much to talk about now would there.

Hearns is a different level of fighter than Margarito, yes. Not to mention stylistically he's absolute poison for Marg.

I don't see any way Margarito can have any kind of success in this bout, and I see it ending early after Margarito's taken too many clean shots, whether by ref/corner stoppage or flat out KO. I've given my analysis a few times (I believe in this thread) if you have any questions about how I see the bout unfolding, or if you want to give your take.

Fair enough. This is just a complete mismatch IMO, and i would actually fear for Margo's health had this fight taken place. I just don't don't see how Margo could be competitive at all.... And I'm a big Margo fan myself

I don't have any question's sweet pea i read you post's and Respect your opinion of how the fight would go down.

I just think Margo could handle those "clean shot's", On current form Margo's chin is one of the best in the sport and so i don't see a KO or a stopage win for Hearn's.

With all that said i think i'm fighting a losing battle here so maybe is finally time to close the Thread.

    Yes.

Hearns can box Margarito from the outside or he can bang him out.

I just want to know what makes you think he'd be able to take Hearns's shots when he was rocked on more than one occasions against a guy like Daniel Santos? Margarito has a top notch chin, but it's not like he's impervious to pain just because he was able to take Miguel Cotto's shots (most of which were on the backfoot or without full leverage from a guy who's not actually a big puncher) without flinching.

Hearns was not only one of the most powerful WW-JMW punchers of all time, but one of the most accurate and precise punch pickers, and he used to KO guys thought to have granite chins or serious durability with single shots.

Hey Pea -- How ya doin'

I really think that the biggest problem with these type of fantasy match-ups is that a lot of fans simply do not understand how freaking hot 147 was in the early 80's. Today the division is relatively stacked with talent, but it's relative. Early 80's was a whole different story. It's not unreasonable to mention SRL and Hearns in the same breath with Robinson. On the other hand, who in their right mind would compare Cotto, William's, or Margo, with Sugar Ray? No one obviously.

Someone show that fool the Hearns-Duran KO. Margo can't take those shots round after round. That wasn't no Cotto back-foot punch. And he knocked Duran out COLD before he even hit the canvas.:dead

Margo is one of the few fighters these days I would even consider putting in the ring with Hearns, so I ain't really hating (this time). I just don't think he can **** around. :-(
