To fight Manny Pacquiao and its reported that Mayweather wants his fathter Floyd Sr. to train him.

Mayweather would also be looking to fight in the summer of 09' (May) --

He needs time to get into fighting shape ... and that time in between would allow Manny to possibly fight Ricky Hatton.

This is a direct source who has a good relationship with Mayweather and was in Vegas last weekend covering the DLH v Pacquiao. (David Mayo, Grand Rapids Press)

    Wow, it's official!!

Until such time as a better source contradicts it.

Anyone heard from Mayweather's gardener's brother?

Lets hope Pac doesnt ruin this by losing to Hatton... I wonder who Mayweather will fight to get back in shape in the meantime, just about all worthy opponents are fully booked.

I'm sure that Floyd would have a dress rehersal against a southpaw, possibly a junior welterweight ... or a welterweight titlist. There are plenty of southpaws available out there to fight.

Or he could just get some good quality sparring against some southpaw titlist.

Please, Floyd is the most criticised fighter ever (by the boxing community) and if it wasny for sackswingers like you nobody would care about him. Who honestly wants someone like Floyd holding the title hostage because he wont fight any real contenders, like Clottey, Berto, Margarito, Cotto, Williams. I highly doubt Floyd would fight any of them, he'd rather take a "superfight" against Oscar. On top of that, we dont have to hear his bitching and complaining and rediculous self promotion anymore now that he is gone. I know someone like you probably cares about how rich Floyd is, but I sure dont

He may come back but I doubt his father will be training him.

You've seen all these fighters over the years lose their "0" and people have been desperately wanting PBF to lose his.

You've recently seen Juan Diaz, Jermain Taylor, Kelly Pavlik, Miguel Cotto, and Paul Williams lose their "0" and all in dramatic fashion.

American's love to hate perfection ... US fight fans like to see fighters lose and get humbled.

Floyd has yet to lose and every time someone comes around and wins a big fight, people are always wondering if this guy can be the guy to lose to PBF.

    HBO commentators mentioned his name

ESPN's - Dan Rafael, Teddy Atlas, and Brian Kenny mentioned his name.

On a majority of boxing websites there's speculation of a possible PBF coming back

Even here in his hometown ... the one thing people were saying is that Floyd would kill Paquiao and recently in the local news paper said that he's going to make a comeback.

You dumb son of a *****. You ****ing euro gump. The most criticised ever..:rofl ***** they said the same thing about Roy when he was on top. Now all you talk about is how good he was in his prime. Its the game baby. When you are the best people talk ****. You have to be a mediocre mother****er to get love from mediocre mother****ers like yourself. FLOYD IS THE MOST RESPECTED BOXER IN THE GAME BY HIS PEERS...OTHER ****ING BOXERS...IF YOUR PEERS CALL YOU THE BEST THERE IS NO QUESTION. You got world champion boxers admitting he is the best. **** your little green toothed opinion.

bull****. the community only wanted him to fight the real fights. not gatti, not baldomir, not zab, not oscar. hatton yes, but that too was a cherrypick. he completely lost resect from dodging Clottey, Berto, Margarito, Cotto, Williams (as was mentioned), and is now coming back to fight a lightweight. Gayrunner will not lose his 0 because he will never put it on the line.
